The State of Medical Marijuana in Florida - Renne Petro Interview

Medical marijuana is now legal in more than 23 US states and Washington DC. In the last several years, many statehouses are starting to embrace change regarding cannabis, especially for sick patients. But in states like Florida, many patients have no legal access to medical marijuana. Renee Petro is the mother of two children, a young boy and girl. Her son, Brandon, suffers from a rare form of childhood epilepsy called FIRES. Renee spends much of her time fighting this potentially fatal disease in her child, using whatever means she can to save her youngster. After doing years of research and finding supporting evidence, Renee is convinced that medical cannabis can help heal her son. She is a vocal advocate for medical marijuana, in Florida and around the nation. You may have heard of her group, Cannamoms. They are quickly becoming an influential voice for reform in a rapidly-growing movement.
