Pakistani Police Arrest FBI Agent

Police in Pakistan have arrested an American they claim was caught trying to board a flight while carrying several weapons. The FBI is reporting an agent of theirs has been arrested, but they will not confirm or deny if the officer is the same man currently in detention. Joel Cox arrived in Karachi on May 1st board a flight to Islamabad. He was found carrying three knives and ammunition. Rao Anwaar, a member of the Pakistani security forces, said he has not yet received any confirmation Cox worked at the American embassy. An unnamed law enforcement official in the United States confirmed the man is an FBI agent, according to ABC News. Cox faced the court on Tuesday, answering charges he brought unauthorized ammunition aboard an aircraft. Agents of the FBI may carry supplies for firearms aboard airplanes when permitted. The suspect's father said his son was in he country for three months, in order to work an office job.
