Please support my efforts to bring a balanced budget to Tempe today with a donation to my campaign today.
As your next Councilmember I will work hard to end the culture of debt that is so commonplace in Government. You can not run your household spending more than you make, and neither can I. But for some reason Governments think they can.

They shuffle fund balances and sell us further into debt to legally balance the budget. Did you know that Tempe has seven hundred million dollars in bond debt outstanding? Let's end the irresponsible shell game and send someone to City Hall who truly understands what it means to save and to invest into our futures, and our city. The status quo is bent upon mortgaging my future and yours it is time to stand up against it.

Whereas: Since everyday Americans have to find ways to live within their means, Tempe should be no exception.
Therefore: I demand that Tempe begin generating truly balanced budgets and lead by example to remove the culture of debt that rules in government.
