The movie follows the story of an electrician who is diagnosed with AIDS, and given 30 days to live. After finding a lack of suitable medical in the United States, he travels down to Mexico to seek treatment. The movie is being heralded by many moviegoers as one of the best movies of the year. Many people are not seeking medical care outside the United States, in order to treat a wide variety of disorders. George Carter is director of the New York Buyers Club. This organization works to better the lives of people with AIDS and HIV. He is also one of the leading critics of the current health system in America. He sees several problems with the movie.
