Garage door frequencies jammed in entire Glendale subdivision near Air Force base

GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) - A strange and unexpected radio frequency gremlin is paralyzing an entire Glendale neighborhood. Nobody's garage door openers are working in this gated community of about sixty homes near 83rd Avenue and Missouri. "You go to push it and the door doesnt open," says Glendale resident Kevin Hamilton who reached out to CBS5 by hitting the "Action Button" on the home page of our website. The first thing Hamilton did was put new batteries in his garage door opener. "Still no operation with the door," he grumbled. Hamilton then took a ride around his neighborhood to see if he was the only one having problems. "That evening I talked with my neighbor across the street. Same thing happened to him. My other neighbor, happened to him," Hamilton said. "Drove around the neighborhood and found another guy it happened to as well." Hamilton lives within eight miles of Glendale's Luke Air Force Base.
