What has opensource ecology been up to lately?

Opensource ecology has been up to some cool stuff lately. Here is a message from Marcin and some links for you to check it out yourself.

Friends,

The season is in high heat at Factor e Farm. This Saturday, September 14 - we are beginning the build of LifeTrac 6 at Factor e Farm in the Kansas City area. The build will run until September 21. You are invited to participate in the build. We can teach you basic skills.

See LifeTrac 5 for our last tractor build.

On September 28 - we will begin the build fo the OSE Microhouse - using LifeTrac 6 and our brick press. This build will last until October 4, with most action happening on the 29th.

If you are interested in getting your hands dirty in these educational and productive experiences - please RSVP to our Technical Community Manager, Audrey - at techcommunity at opensourceecology.org.

If you are interested in collaborating remotely - have you heard of our Design Sprints? Please sign up for them and help us develop world-changing technologies.

Thanks, Marcin

During the last few days of September and the first week of October we will be constructing a prototype house, using prototype machines, and using a prototype process: swarming construction. Numerous volunteers, with various skill levels, will be refining a method of parallel processing to construct modular components of a house that can be quickly assembled to create a beautiful, durable, and sustainable dwelling for a couple: the Microhouse.
