According to a press release from the group, which calls itself The Garden of Eden, "a small Intentional Community based on Sustainability," Arlington P.D. SWAT officers raided the community the morning of Aug. 2, awakening inhabitants while executing a search warrant. But, says the group in a press release, no pot was found.

"Ultimately only a single arrest was made based on unrelated outstanding traffic violations, a handful of citations were given for city code violations, and zero drug related violations were found," said the group.

Seriously, a SWAT team?

The real question in this drama is who authorized this level of force for what was obviously a "minor infraction" at best? Unfortunately, you can read about this kind of gestapo tactic almost every day in our once great republic. It seems the people we entrust to police the police, as in the judge who issued the warrant, or perhaps our elected county sheriff, have routinely lasped into a "rubber stamp" coma of sorts. I fear it is only a matter of time before this type of nonsense ends up in a deadly confrontation between law enforcement and local militia, or perhaps even cops on cops (federal , state, county, city), as heavily armed people with different views of our fundamental rights sort it out at gunpoint. Nuff Said.
