With the launch of the new series of Lumia coming closer, the Lumia 900 users now have something to celebrate. The AT&T Lumia 900 users, after a long wait, finally have the option of updating their OS to Windows 7.8.

So today marks the beginning of a new life for the old Lumia handset, as the aging handset will now have more features and improvements. For AT&T customers, the update can be downloaded from the Zune PC client.

A highlight of the some of the features

The Lumia 900 which was launched last year in the month of May became very popular within a few weeks after its launched. Some of the features of the phone include the AMOLED capacitive touch screen having 16 million colors, an onboard memory of 16GB (non-expandable), a screen size of 4.3 inches, which was quite large as compared to the Smartphones of its kind and a camera of 8MP.
