If this story is true that the perpetrator was on Fanapt, then this should be considered by the anti-psychiatry medication crowd more closely than "aha it's ANOTHER drug" because it has a completely different mechanism than the SSRIs usually blamed. In fact it actually works to block and downregulate the 5H-T2A receptors (the target of the SSRIs, which enhance and upregulate the receptors).
