BREAKING: U.S. May Consider Boots on Ground in Libya

United States is considering putting boots on the ground in Libya after Obama promised he would not authorize such a contingency.

Fox News , and MSNBC are reporting that the United States is considering putting boots on the ground in Libya after Obama promised he would not authorize such a contingency.

It seems that our withdrawal from the coalition in Libya may have led to a stalemate in the battle on the ground. Turning over control of the No-Fly zone to NATO is not working out. Army Gen. Carter Ham told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the situation on the ground is now a stalemate between the warring factions and Gaddafi has begun to position his planes and other assets, such as vehicles that had been targets from the air, near mosques and schools.

Because this is a “humanitarian mission,” killing civilians, especially in schools and mosques, would do enormous damage to the mission’s raison d’être and the only possible option may be to put an international force, including U.S. troops, on the ground to aid the rebels.
