In a move likely to revolutionize the computer industry, Google today announced a new initiative —
Google Motion — which will allow users to bypass the keyboard and input information
directly into the computer with simple gestures. Using your computer’s
built-in webcam, Google Motion’s patented spatial tracking technology
detects your movements and translates them into meaningful characters
and commands. According to Google “Movements are designed to be simple
and intuitive for people of all skill levels.”
Still in beta, Google Motion has already won high praise from Paralanguage experts and Motion specialists alike.
Let’s just hope that this one is successful as previous initiatives like Google Wave!
