Former Contractor Says FBI Put Back Door in OpenBSD

• PC World
A former government contractor says that the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation installed a number of back doors into the encryption software used by the OpenBSD operating system. This means that the FBI may have developed secret ways to snoop on encrypted traffic and then hidden them in source code submissions accepted by OpenBSD.

Now why would the FBI stick a backdoor into an obscure operating system?  They certainly wouldn't do it in moree mainstream operating systems like Windows, Apple's OSX, Unix or Linux . . . would thy?  Nah.  That would be like if they snuck access codes into the design of cell phones that allowed them to turn on the microphone while the cellphone was turnd "off."  Our fearless protctors of our Rights would never do that to us.  Right?
