Dear Congressman, You have recently been elected to “represent” a segment of the population & will be required to take an oath to abide by the Constitution, which enumerates the powers granted to the Congress. The Declaration of Independence states, “governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Just because you were elected does not necessarily mean that you have the consent of Americans to be governed.
