House panel considers college football playoffs

• AP
A top official of the Bowl Championship Series says there are more important things for Congress to worry about than pressing for a playoff system for college football.

But lawmakers were taking a crack at it anyway Wednesday. A House panel was to consider a proposal to ban the promotion of a postseason NCAA Division I football game as a national championship unless it's the outcome of a playoff.

BATTLE CRY FOR TEA PARTY AND ALL OTHERS,......BECAUSE ALL CONGRESS VOTED THEMSELVES PAY RAISE..... NO INCUMBANTS IN 2010   NO INCUMBANTS  2010... VOTE IN TERM LIMITS AND INSTANT RECALL.   IF THERE WERE INSTANT RECALL PROVISIONS, THE CONGRESS WOULD NEVER NEVER VOTED THEMSELVES SALARY RAISES.   NO INCUMBANTS   2010

Ok, really...  It's just a game.  Do our elected officials have nothing better to discuss?  So, somebody's mad because they thought they had a good team but didn't make a bowl game or something....  IT's  JUST A GAME!!!  May be just me but I think the people who are supposed to be running this country screw up enough already.  Stay out of football!  Oh, while you're at it, stay out of healthcare, small business, banking and cap&trade!  Your job as our Gov't is to protect the people from threats both foreign and domestic.  Not to be a domestic threat...  Someone get me out of this police state!

As much as I despise the BCS, I have to agree with the BCS in that doesn't CONgress have more important matters to attend to...even duties they are actually charged with than this?
