In one case, he delayed a woman's hearing a week because she loudly cracked her knuckles, records show.

After a defendant muttered a profanity in another judge's court, Malka threatened to raise the person's bond with no explanation, deny the defendant the right to speak with a lawyer, and hold an informal contempt hearing with no opportunity for the defendant to give a response, according to court documents.
