Orville Galaxy Game
I'm producing the Orville Galaxy game with Frans and Davi. The game has been helped by members and friends of Pirate Without Borders and it's one of the highlights the Pirates we have in game including a ship model. We are basing a lot of the perspective from a Pirate perspective.
My background is 3d modelling, computer programming, and design on a technical side but also retail sales and management. I've started Orville Galaxy by using some models and rebuilding a game from scratch. So, it required 3d modeling, programming in blueprints and code, music and video editing. Frans and Davi are a big help with the story telling and writing. We created factions and new races that can be part of the Orville universe. I'm currently unemployed during random freelance work. During the previous project I lost my job and a lot of things. So, this is important to me in a way as an unfinished goal. Davi and Frans are a big help and we treat each other like a team coming up with ideas. Writing it and telling others as our personal works.
Orville Galaxy is a game of various styles mixed into one. The game is a protagonist and antagonist style role playing game with MMO (massively multiplayer online) and first and third person perspective. It's inspired by Star Trek, Star Wars, Galaxy Quest, and many other science fiction shows and movies. The player has the choice to play as a Planetary Union officer, but pirate game play will be part of it. The game is designed to be an Orville fan game, but can be made into an independent game if necessary. The team consists of Davi Barker and Frans Bindels. I met them from working on a previous project.
Since the game is a fan game any help is appreciated.
As to the game…
The game story happens after the first Kaylon battle much like Wolf 359. It was devastating to the Planetary Union. The player is a new recruit to the Planetary Union after the first attack. So, the player enrolled into the fleet and join. The player has a first contact mission where they meet a flower race. The person turns out to be the top of class and stationed to the Orville. There are some hints to a backstory early on during the introduction part. The Pirates in the game see the wrong in the Planetary Union so it's a chase to capture the Pirate. We want to show the Planetary Union in a opposite perspective. So, we are looking to build the Pirate backstory. The story is about the Planetary Union after the Kaylon war, but it's more an expanded universe. I design cues comes from Star Trek Online, No Mans Sky, and various other games.
We are going have a simulation room where missions are created of various styles that increase a player skill and achievements. As to mission, its primary purpose is reputation. Skills are separated into core skills and specialized. We designed the game so a player can player third and first mission, travel around the ship, play simulations, and visit planets meeting and talking to NPC's. Everything is a work in progress. From the screen shots, you can see some of the game play. We should have some videos coming out and we been test streaming ironing out any issues.
We would like help. We are in the stage of adding Pirates and NPC's characters so we welcome invites to get people to do voice clips. Also, Vivienne is the only programmer so developers can be a huge help. We also have a new member Gemma Cartmell who is helping with music.

Judy A. Mikovits, PhD has spent her life training to be a research scientist to honor her grandfather who died of cancer when she was a teenager. Dr. Mikovits earned her BA from University of Virginia and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from George Washington University. In her 35-year quest to understand and treat chronic diseases, she has studied immunology, natural products chemistry, epigenetics, virology and drug development. In just over twenty years she rose from an entry-level lab technician to become director of the lab of Antiviral Drug Mechanisms at the National Cancer Institute before leaving to direct the Cancer Biology program at EpiGenX Pharmaceuticals in Santa Barbara, California where she had met and married David Nolde in 2000. There in 2006, she became attracted to the plight of patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Autism.
