Original air date for the Nat Geo TV Season 3 Premier of Doomsday Preppers Episode ‘The Flight Ahead' is November 5th, 2013 at 9PM ET.
Some of the goals Chad and his family have are to be self-sufficient and food independent. By creating some of their own sources of food and taking other steps they are on the self-reliant path. While watching the show be sure to notice how easy it is to take care of their aquaponic Endless Food System and how great it is to have fresh healthly foods just steps away. You too can grow your own food with one of these systems!
Aquaponics enables you to grow food (produce & fish, and you can eat the fish) in a closed loop eco-system. Basically the fish waste provides the plants with nutrients and the plant help clean the water for the fish. Food generally grows about twice as quick compared to soil based gardening and is all organic since adding pesticides to the system could kill the fish.
If the trailer is not playing please check back or go to the Episode: The Flight Ahead page on the National Geographic Channel.
"At his home in Arizona, he is working on executing the biggest prep of his life — a 140-foot-long escape tunnel from his family's house to a bug-out vehicle." More Aquaponics Doomsday Preppers Pictures
Note from Chad:
Hello Everyone,I wanted to share a link from our web page to the commercial they started running yesterday. It is still not set in stone, but it looks like our episode will air on Nov 5th. I'll put another link in here straight from the Doomsday Prepper website but it may change. For those of you that don't know, we were selected to be on the National Geographic Doomsday Prepper reality tv show. They came to our house this past April & filmed for 5 days straight- it was quite grueling. Just so you know, reality TV is not real! The whole story was scripted weeks ahead, I went along with most of it to get on the show. They had to pick a potential disaster scenario for me so we went with the nuclear strike & genocidal siege. While I suppose anything can happen, I don't really believe that is going to happen- although Democide & Genocide actually HAVE taken more life on this earth than any other thing. In fact over 300 million people have been killed by their own governments just in the past 150 years alone. That's more than all the wars combined so there is some validity to being concerned about what your government is doing! I have no idea what the show will turn out to be like & we do not get to see it ahead of time. The real reason I agreed to do this was to promote our aquaponic business. I spoke to the producer about a month ago right after the editing was done & she said a big part of our show is going to be focused on the aquaponic system. I hope that is true & we can use this to jump start the company. Anyway, I wanted you to know in case you see a commercial & say- Hey, I think I know those people....?!________________________________________________________

Indiegogo Campaign - Tabletop Aquaponics by Endless Food Systems
10-22-2013 • Indiegogo
The symbiotic relationship that makes this beautifully designed Tabletop Aquaponics System work can change the world - really! I was amazed when I first learned it was possible to mimic nature in a sustainable way with plants and fish.
