"DeFuture…Run Ron, Run"

by Stephen Lendman

On Tuesday, a "red wave" occurred only in Florida.

Governor Ron DeSantis won reelection by a near-20 point margin, the Miami Herald noting the following:

"(H)istoric (GOP) victories up and down the ballot will cement (Florida) as a red state for years to come."

For the first time in state history, Republicans had over 200,000 more registered voters than Dems.

"DeSantis not only made gains in reliably blue counties, he flipped some," the broadsheet reported, adding:

"He won Miami-Dade, Hillsborough, Duval, Palm Beach and Osceola counties, all of which have more (Dems) than Republicans."

"He also won Hillsborough County with 54% of the vote, a 10-point swing from his win in the county four years ago."

Based on pre-election polling, DeSantis was heavily favored over Dem candidate, former Governor Charlie Crist by a 12-point margin -- beating it overwhelmingly.

According to Tallahassee-based GOP consultant/lobbyist, Christian Camara:

"I didn't expect (DeSantis-led GOP candidates to win) so overwhelmingly," what he called "shocking."

With 99% of votes counted, DeSantis led Crist by a 59.4 - 40% margin.

GOP candidates won state House and Senate super-majorities.

Mocking the fake Biden pre-election, DeSantis said:

"We had a visitor down here in South Florida last week from Washington."

"I didn't know he was coming down. And then I got word."

"Hey, there('s) an elderly fellow wandering around aimlessly on the streets of Miami."

"Oh, Joe came."

Looking ahead to 2024, will DeSantis challenge Trump to become GOP standard bearer?

According to FiveThirtyEight poll results published on Nov. 8, Trump's public approval stands at 39.9% favorable v. 54.3% of respondents expressing disapproval.

In late October, ABC News/Ipsos poll results found that 72% of registered Republicans believe that DeSantis should influence the GOP's direction v. 64% for Trump.

During the same timeframe, a Florida Atlantic University poll showed 48% support for DeSantis v. 42% for (the fake) Biden.

The same poll showed 45% support for Trump v. 41% for (the fake) Biden.

Published on Nov. 6, a Data for Progress poll showed DeSantis had a net favorable rating among Republicans of +81 v. +62 for Trump.

Post-Nov. 8 midterms, Election Betting Odds rated DeSantis over Trump to win the 2024 presidential sweepstakes if he enters the race.

DeSantis and Trump are both favored to beat the fake Biden if he runs for re-selection.

Given his overwhelming Tuesday triumph, the Hill reported the following on Thursday, saying:

"DeSantis (R) is expected to come under increasing pressure to run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 after rolling to a reelection victory Tuesday on a night when much of the GOP was licking its wounds."

Left unexplained the Hill and other MSM was Election 2022 reality.

Rampant fraud enabled undemocratic Dems to do much better than expected -- making DeSantis' overwhelming triumph all the more impressive.

And this from GOP strategist/RunSwitch PR firm founding partner, Scott Jennings:

"DeSantis made a convincing case that he, rather than Trump, gives Republicans the best chance to defeat (the fake) Biden (or some other Dem) in 2024."

In its Wednesday post-midterms edition, the New York Post headlined:

"DeFuture."

"Young GOP star DeSantis romps to victory in Florida."

"Run, Ron, Run," NY Post editors urged, saying:

He won reelection by the widest gubernatorial margin "in 40 years."

He gained widespread voter support by making Florida "a refuge of sanity (during the fake pandemic) when the world went mad."

"He took heat for…keeping schools and businesses open and opposing (health and freedom-destroying) mandates.

"(H)is policies" contrast sharply with the wrecking ball agenda of undemocratic Dems.

With attribution to Winston Churchill, he said the following post-election:

"We fight the woke in the legislature…in the schools…in the corporations."

"We will never ever surrender to the woke mob."

Separately, the NY Post headlined:

"It's time the GOP dumped Trump the Grump and ran with Ron DeSantis," saying:

Nationwide GOP results were a "political smackdown for Trump."

Many candidates he supported lost to Dems.

DeSantis was the party's biggest winner by far.

Demeaning him as "Ron DeSanctimonious," Trump urged him not to enter the 2024 presidential sweepstakes, dubiously claiming:

"(I)f he runs, he could hurt himself very badly."

"I would tell you things about him that won't be very flattering."

"I know more about him than anybody -- other than, perhaps, his wife."

Trump hurt himself with the above remarks.

From now to 2024 is a political lifetime.

Anything can happen between now and then.

But at this time, DeSantis is the GOP's likely frontrunner if he enters the race for the White House.

And he's most likely to triumph against the fake Biden or another undemocratic Dem.

While I support neither wing of the one-party state, if a DeSantis presidency curbs kill shot and all else flu/covid madness, along with stepping back from the risk of nuclear war, he'll clearly be preferable to the scourge involved in running things now.

A Final Comment

Trump is expected to announce his candidacy for reelection next week.

At this time, it's unclear if DeSantis will compete with him to be GOP standard bearer.

In 2020, Dems stole the White House and key congressional races.

They stole enough midterm races to prevent an expected nationwide red wave.

They're virtually certain to plot the same thing in 2024.

No matter who Republicans nominate for president, the party's main hurdle will be overcoming brazen fraud.

It's an undemocratic Dem specialty, supported by most MSM instead of exposing and condemning it.
