The Illusion of Democracy in America

by Stephen Lendman

Alexis de Tocqueville was wrong.

Democracy in America is a meaningless figure of speech.

The real thing never existed from inception and is nowhere in sight now.

No nation in world history has done more to eradicate democracy wherever it emerges.

None more aggressively wages war on humanity at home and worldwide than hegemon USA — in pursuit of its diabolical aims.

None is more contemptuous of the rule of law, while hyperventilating otherwise.

None more greatly threatens world peace by its forever war policy against invented enemies.

When held, US elections are more selections than the other way around.

Since at least the early 19th century, rigging results at the federal, state and local levels occurred time and again.

If and when forensic analysis of 2022 midterms is conducted, evidence will highly likely show state-sponsored fraud in key races, especially Senate ones.

Plutocracy, kleptocracy and hypocrisy — not democracy — defines how the empire of lies and forever wars is governed.

In lieu of an open, free and fair process, dirty business as usual always wins in a one-party state with two right wings.

Self-styled American exceptionalism, the indispensable state and moral superiority conceal a political process too debauched to fix.

From inception, US governance has always been of, by and for privileged interests exclusively at the expense of most others.

When held, so-called US elections perpetuate continuity.

The vast majority of Americans has no say over how the nation is governed.

The most brazen fraud in US history determined Election 2020 results.

Will analysis of Tuesday's midterms show something similar occurred?

When all is said and done, things change but stay the same in the aftermath of US elections — why voting for the most part is a profound waste of time, especially in the absence of verifiable paper ballots.

Electronic and pre-election voting assure widespread fraud.

Tuesday's midterms occurred at a time of US war on Russia — at risk of going nuclear by accident or design — economic decline, soaring inflation, increasing layoffs and recession likely to be severe and protracted ahead.

Most US households are hard-pressed to make ends meet.

Millions face food insecurity and hunger.

Millions skip meals and/or chose what's lowest cost at a time of 16.4% inflation — not the fabricated 8.2% reported.

According to the USDA, food security depends on "access by all people at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life."

Millions lack what's essential, what's a fundamental human right, their numbers growing — no matter which wing of the one-party state runs things.

Because of soaring inflation at a time when most US jobs are part-time, low-wage ones with few or no  benefits, poverty in America way exceeds officially reported numbers.

Yet the Wall Street-controlled Fed continues to sharply raise interest rates at a time of recession when stimulus is needed to mitigate hard times.

Looking ahead, things are worsening as 2023 approaches.

America's debauched political system makes what's untenable worse.

When losers are declared winners, its legitimacy is shattered.

Commenting on what's indisputable, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said the following:

"As far as elections go, even (hegemon USA's) closest allies…are taking note of the crisis in the US electoral system."

"They are taking note of an increasingly deteriorating situation with regard to the US elections, both presidential and legislative ones."

"There is no need for anyone to make statements as it's visible to the naked eye, and I'm not even talking about the polarization of society."

And this from Russia's upper house Federation Counsel Deputy Speaker, Konstantin Kosachev, saying:

"I don't see any prospects for changes in the position of members of (the US House and) Senate because there is a consensus on anti-Russian sentiment."

So a made-in-the-USA state of war on Russia continues by both wings of the one-party state.

According to exit-polling on Tuesday, three-fourths (73%) of Americans are dissatisfied and/or angry about the dismal state of the nation.

Most voters reject Biden regime policies.

An NBC exit poll found that two-thirds of voters oppose a 2024 re-(selection) bid by the fake Biden.

Weakening economic conditions and high inflation top the list of voters' concerns.

In Illinois, my home state, profoundly undemocratic Dem billionaire, JB Pritzker, won re-selection.

With vote-counting still ongoing, Republicans look set to regain House control.

Senate control is a tossup.

In a one-party state with two right wings — the war party — dirty business as usual always triumphs on selection day.

That's what final tabulations of Tuesday's results will show.

The Illusion in America, Mr. Lendman, is that there is freedom in this land. The Union of States was meant to have "a republic form of government". The founders knew that a democracy is a majority rules system (mob rules) and would quickly devolve into a corrupt power-grab, like the corporatocracy we now have. What is the point in voting, when a compromised voting system is in place? It is time for Marshall Law and the elimination of the corrupt governmental services corporation, known as USA, Inc. and everyone aligned with it. It's time to Flush The Swamp!
