Official US Policy: Preemptive Use of Nukes Against Invented Enemies

by Stephen Lendman

Official US new millennium policy asserts the unilateral right to use first strike nuclear or conventional weapons against invented enemies anywhere worldwide," a previous article explained.

From Bush/Cheney to the illegitimate Biden regime, the empire of lies and forever wars on invented enemies asserted the unilateral right to use nukes preemptively at its discretion.

Throughout US history, its ruling regimes used chemical, biological, radiological and other banned weapons in waging one preemptive war after another.

More recently in 2019, a Trump regime war department document asserted the US right to use nukes preemptively at its discretion.

During a March 2019 Senate  Senate Armed Service Committee meeting, deputy undersecretary of war, David Trachtenberg, said that hegemon USA has no intention of reversing its "no first use" of nukes policy, dubiously adding:

A policy change "would undermine US extended deterrence and damage the health of our alliances because it would call into question the assurance that the (empire of lies) would come to the defense of allies in extreme circumstances (sic).

In 2018, the Trump regime's Nuclear Posture Review asserted the same diabolical right.

Last month, US Strategic Command head, Admiral Charles Richard, said the following:

Hegemon USA is "back in the business of contemplating…direct armed conflict with a nuclear-capable peer" — referring to Russia and China.

So the Pentagon must hasten preparations to use nukes preemptively to the defend the homeland, according to Richard's worldview — notably at a time when US "enemies" are invented.

Throughout the post-WW II period, no real ones existed.

According to the Biden regime's war department strategy, preemptive use of nukes continues to be official US policy, saying:

The empire of lies and forever wars on invented enemies won't rule out preemptive use of nukes.

This policy was asserted on Thursday in the Pentagon's so-called "National Defense Strategy (NDS).

Campaigning in 2020, the fake Biden pledged no preemptive use of nukes.

The regime's NDS exposed the Big Lie, saying:

"By the 2030s, (hegemon USA) will…face two major nuclear powers as strategic competitors and potential adversaries (sic)."

No nations threaten US security, not Russia, China or any others.

Th NDS defied reality by falsely claiming otherwise — a pretext to maintain first-strike use of nukes against invented enemies as official policy.

According to Biden regime war secretary Austin's perversion of reality:

"The most comprehensive and serious challenge to US national security is (China's) coercive and increasingly aggressive endeavor to refashion the Indo-Pacific region (sic) and the international system to suit its interests and authoritarian preferences (sic)" — two bald-faced Big Lies.

Calling Russia an "acute threat" is another perversion of reality.

So is falsely claiming the following:

"Russia's unprovoked (sic), unjust (sic) and reckless invasion of Ukraine (sic) underscores its irresponsible behavior (sic)," adding:

"Efforts to respond to Russia's assault (sic) on Ukraine also dramatically highlight the importance of a strategy that leverages the power of our values (sic) and our military might with that of our allies and partners (sic)."

China, Russia, Iran and other independent nations free from US control seek cooperative relations with other nations.

It's in stark contrast to perpetual wars on one nation after another by the empire of lies.

Both wings of its war party consider peace, stability and compliance with rule of law principles hostile to its drive for unchallenged hegemony.

Longstanding US policy is all about "coerc(ing) (and) threaten(ing)" nations free from its control — preemptive hot and sanctions wars its weapons of choice.

Responding to release of the Biden regime's National Security Strategy (NSS) in mid-October, China's Global Times said the following:

It's "full of viciousness" directed against invented enemies.

Longstanding US policy "come(s) at the expense of the security of other countries" by waging perpetual wars.

Along with Russia bashing, the Biden regime's NSS features a "Cold War mentality (against) China."

"(C)mpetition with China suffuses every chapter" of the NSS, notably by falsely calling the country "the most pressing strategic challenge (sic)."

Over 3 decades after the Cold War ended, dominant US hardliners learned nothing.

Choosing pursuit of dominance over cooperative relations with other countries, they created "imaginary enemies" in pursuit of their diabolical aims.

Opposing peace and stability in favor or forever wars, the empire of lies is an unparalleled threat to the vast majority of people everywhere.

A Final Comment

On Thursday, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, explained the following:

"The nuclear threat (posed by the empire of lies and forever wars) is growing."

"The more (the Biden regime and its Western vassals get) involved in supporting (Ukrainian Nazis), the more they risk provoking a direct armed clash of nuclear powers that may trigger catastrophic consequences."

Longstanding US policy calls for achieving "decisive military and strategic supremacy at any cost" — a prescription for perpetual wars.

Current crisis conditions followed hegemon USA's destructive course towards expanding NATO" near Russia's borders — in flagrant breach of the 1997 Founding Act between the Russian Federation and NATO.

Unilateral US "withdrawal from all binding, restraining parity arrangements in the field of security and strategic stability" also contributed greatly to current crisis conditions.

The self-styled master of the universe "does not consider it necessary to consider our country's basic security interests" in pursuit of its hegemonic aims.

World peace hangs in the balance.
