On Friday, the US war department announced the following:
Another $775 million worth of weapons, munitions and equipment will be thrown at what remains of Ukraine's greatly degraded and largely defeated military.
It's all about continuing forever US proxy war on Russia, unrelated to Kiev's "security and defense needs" as hegemon USA falsely claimed.
The following is included in the package:
"Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS)
16 105mm Howitzers and 36,000 105mm artillery rounds
15 Scan Eagle Unmanned Aerial Systems
40 MaxxPro Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles with mine rollers
Additional High-speed Anti-radiation missiles
50 Armored High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV)
1,500 Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles
1,000 Javelin anti-armor systems
2,000 anti-armor rounds
Mine clearing equipment and systems
Demolition munitions
Tactical secure communications systems
Night vision devices, thermal imagery systems, optics, and laser rangefinders."
Since ill-trained and led Ukrainian troops cannot operate much of the above and some of what was earlier supplied effectively, Pentagon and CIA elements do it for the Kiev regime.
Since the Obama/Biden regime's 2014 coup in Kiev, the US and key NATO partners poured tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons et al into Ukraine to wage forever proxy war on Russia.
What's all about seeking control over the country by brute force and other dirty tricks was foiled by its military and tactical superiority.
The diabolical US aim has nothing to do with defending democracy anywhere — a notion virtually banned throughout the West, what's clearly nonexistent in tyrannically run Ukraine.
On August 15, Russian Deputy UN envoy, Dmitry Polyansky said the following in response to being asked to evaluate results of its SMO to date:
Its "goals" were clearly explained straightaway after its launch.
They're "being (successfully) implemented with the pace that allows us to save manpower and lives of the civilian population."
Things could have been accomplished much more quickly if Russia operated like US-dominated NATO in all its preemptive wars on invented enemies.
Largely accomplished Russian goals of "demilitarization and deNazification of Ukraine, (as well as achieving and) ensuring peace and stability for Donbass" will be accomplished as planned.
On the issue of an IAEA visit to the Zaporozhye NPP, Russia urged it days earlier with guarantees of security for its team members.
Polyansky stressed that "(t)here are no difficulties whatsoever on (the Russian) side," adding:
"(F)rom the beginning" of US-orchestrated and directed attempted strikes on the plant by Kiev troops, Russia called on IAEA inspectors to visit the facility to see firsthand what's gone on.
"I know that the Ukrainian side created problems for the visit," Polyansky explained.
Questions should be addressed to the ruling regime and its master in Washington about what's going on.
"The Russian side is very much open and as was said by Ambassador Nebenzia last week that we expect this visit to take place before the end of August."
Separately according to an All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center poll conducted from August 8 - 14, Vladimir Putin's approval rating remains at 80%.
His public support way exceeds his Western counterparts.
According to Quinnipiac polling data in July, only 33% of respondents approve of how the fake Biden is handling things.
Only 32% approve of how his regime is handling the US economy.
Polling data collected by Morning Consult from August 10 - 16 showed the following:
Public approval of France's Macron is 34%.
For Germany's Schotz it's 35%, 39% for Canada's Trudeau, 34% for Spain's Sanchez, 30% for Norway's Store, 28% for the Netherlands' Rutte, 27% for outgoing UK PM Johnson, the same dismal rating for Poland's Morawiecki, and 24% for the Czech Republic's Fiala.
There's no ambiguity about the above data.
The vast majority of Russians support Vladimir Putin because it's deserved.
It's in stark contrast to weak public support for his Western counterparts.
