China Responds to Hegemon USA's Latest Provocation

by Stephen Lendman

Dominant Biden regime hardliners are recklessly playing with fire by pushing things for possible war with Russia and China.

The risk of what's unthinkable is more possible than at any previous time post-WW II — because lunatics run the Washington asylum.

With Russia overwhelmingly triumphing over US-created and supported Ukrainian Nazis, the empire of lies risks an unthinkable nuclear disaster by orchestrating and directing their attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant — with intent to release and spread deadly radiation over much of central Europe.

Flagrantly breaching the One China principle by unauthorized high-level US visits to Taiwan, the Biden regime risks war in the Asia/Pacific.

In response to the latest provocation by the empire of lies — with the Sunday arrival of a congressional group of 5 for a two-day visit to Taiwan — China justifiably responded as follows:

On Tuesday, Beijing announced sanctions on what it called "Taiwan independence" diehards.

They, their sponsors and affiliated groups are prohibited from engaging in profit-making activities on the mainland, more punitive actions to follow.

Heads of the so-called Taiwan Foundation for Democracy, as well as the International Cooperation and Development Fund are barred from entering the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao.

According to the spokesman for the CPC Central Committee's Taiwan Work Office, Shi Yi:

Separatists on China's breakaway province constitute the greatest obstacle to peaceful reunification.

They're not only blacklisted from entering the mainland, they'll be held accountable as warranted by China's Anti-Secession Law, its Criminal Law and National Security Law.

Separately in response to the latest US display of imperial arrogance, the PLA's Eastern Theater Command began more maritime and aerial drills around the island, a statement saying:

"This is a solemn deterrent against the US and Taiwan for continuing to play political tricks and undermining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait," adding:

China will act "resolutely (to) defend national sovereignty."

China's Defense Ministry stressed that the PLA "continues to train and prepare for war (to) resolutely defend (the nation's) sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will resolutely crush any form of 'Taiwan independence' separatism and foreign interference."

In response, the island's so-called foreign ministry said the following:

The ruling separatist Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) cannot "be interfered with by China," adding:

"Even more, we cannot accept threats and menace from authoritarian and totalitarian systems (sic)."

On Monday, China's Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, said that legitimate countermeasures will be taken in response provocative US actions.

And this from China's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Wang Wenbin, saying:

The latest visit by US congressional members to where they don't belong "sends a seriously wrong signal to "Taiwan independence" separatist forces."

"The one-China principle is a prevailing consensus in the international community and a basic norm in international relations."

"It is also the political foundation for the establishment and development of diplomatic ties between China and the US."

"China's national reunification is an unstoppable historical trend."

US attempts to (hollow out and distort) the one-China principle (will) damag(e) China-US relations (as well as) peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait."

"China will take resolute and strong measures to defend (its) national sovereignty and territorial integrity."

Challenging it "will get US politicians nowhere."

After meeting with Taiwan's so-called president Tsai, a statement by Senator Markey's website provocatively said the following:

"The bonds of friendship between the US and Taiwan run deep (sic), and we are committed to continuing to build our relationship" — by weaponizing the island, what risks confrontation with China, the statement left unexplained.

In support of the US drive for global hegemony, Markey also expressed support for "Taiwan's meaningful participation in the international community (to aid its ruling regime) withstand cross-Strait coercion (sic)."

US support for One China since the 1970s no longer exists.

Is direct confrontation between two nuclear powers inevitable?

Will hegemon USA wage war on China and Russia?

If launched, will global war 3.0 be a war to end all future ones because we'll all be dead?
