Can You Top This?

by Stephen Lendman

A long ago US radio and television show by the above name — that I'm old enough to remember — featured celebrity guests trying to top each other's jokes.

A current version of a different caliber features MSM trying to match or top each other's Big Lies on major domestic and geopolitical issue — in vying for larger audiences.

In the run-up to and since Russia launched its liberating SMO, the Federation and Vladimir Putin personally have been the leading international topic.

Followers of their rubbish have been brainwashed to accept the fabricated official narrative — truth and full disclosure banned in their reports.

Along with demagogue Pelosi's affront to China's sovereignty by visiting Taiwan, MSM managed news misinformation and disinformation have been focused in recent days on falsely blaming Russia for repeated attacks by Ukrainian Nazis on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant with intent to irradiate central Europe.

According to NYT fake news on Sunday — citing Kiev as its dubious source — "Russian forces (are) imperiling a captured (sic) nuclear power plant (sic)."

Shelling and rockets fired over the weekend — by Ukrainian Nazis, not Russia —  hit near "a dry spent-fuel storage facility containing 174 casks, each with 24 assemblies of spent nuclear fuel, according to Energoatom, Ukraine's nuclear energy company (sic)."

And this Times bald-faced Big Lie:

"Russian forces (have been) using (the NPP) as a base (sic) to launch artillery barrages at the Ukrainian-controlled town of Nikopol across the Dnipro River for the past month (sic)."

And this Times trash:

Russian forces "aimed…at casks with spent (nuclear) fuel (sic)."

Indeed, most "every principle of nuclear safety has been violated," citing imperial tool IAEA head Grossi — by Ukrainian Nazis, not Russia.

And this Times fake news, citing Ukraine's bald-faced Big Lies:

"Russia (is) to blame" for striking the NPP — by Ukrainian Nazis.

"Russia (is) shelling the Zaporozhye site to destroy infrastructure and to damage power lines that supply electricity to Ukraine's national grid and, ultimately, to cut power in the country's south (sic)."

And this Times perversion of reality:

"Russian forces laid mines at the plant's power units (sic)."

And this rubbish:

"Russian forces stored weapons, including artillery, at the plant (sic)."

"In recent weeks, they began shelling Nikopol from its grounds (sic)."

And this Times trash:

Russia has been "setting off explosions at the plant in order to unnerve Ukraine's European allies about nuclear safety and perhaps discourage them from arming Ukraine further (sic)."

And this Times fake news:

"(T)he (nowhere in sight) prospect of a Ukrainian counteroffensive to reclaim land in (the liberated) Kherson (Region)…southwest of Zaporozhye, also heightens the instability surrounding the plant (sic).

And this Times rubbish:

"Russian occupation and continued shelling at Zaporozhye (sic) prevented the (IAEA) from accessing key parts of its reactors (sic)."

And this Times trash:

The Russian occupation of the plant  (sic) put its employees under great pressure (sic)."

They've been "subjected to harsh interrogations that have included torture with electrical shocks (sic)" — citing Nazified Kiev as its source.

Falsely claiming that some NPP staff "disappeared and at least one "killed" was another bald-faced Big Lie.

And this WSJ fake news on the same topic:

"Located in the Russian-occupied city (sic) of Enerhodar…each side blamed the other for shelling" the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant."

"Russian troops (at the facility) have been…firing rockets at Ukrainian positions (sic)."

And the Journal quoted puppet Zelensky's bald-faced Big Lie:

Falsely accusing Russia of shelling the NPP, he hyperventilated about "one of the most dangerous crimes against Ukrainians and all Europeans" — by Kiev Nazis, clearly not Russian forces.

While falsely blaming Russia for strikes on the NPP by Ukrainian Nazis, Reuters cited the puppet Zelensky regime's call for a "demilitarized zone around the nuclear plant."

And this from the EU's so-called foreign policy chief, Borrell:

Turning truth on its head about all things Russia and Ukraine, he falsely accused the former for the latter's strikes on the NPP, saying:

"This is a serious and irresponsible breach of nuclear safety rules and another example of Russia's disregard for international norms (sic)."

US/Western officials and their MSM press agents across the board trample daily on truth and full disclosure in similar fashion.

They repeatedly go out of their way to shame themselves by featuring Big Lies and mass deception over truth-telling.

It's their stock and trade.
