Lavrov in China

Lavrov in China

by Stephen Lendman

Sino/Russia ties are a formidable counterweight to Washington's diabolical drive for global hegemony.

Their strategic partnership reflects close ties that bind growing stronger, notably during unsettling times like now.

In 2021, both countries commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation.

Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping are best friends.

They coordinate key international policies together.

Notably they include joint efforts to challenge US interference in their internal affairs.

They oppose further NATO enlargement.

They cooperate to counter US sanctions war.

On Thursday, Sergey Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi met in Tunxi, China to discuss Russia's special military operation in Ukraine and related issues.

Following their discussion, Lavrov said the following:

Issues discussed included continued "development of Russia-China relations and building up our foreign policy coordination."

On Istanbul talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations, Lavrov explained that while they showed "progress," they were far short of anything "final."

"A new reality is taking place," Lavrov stressed.

Hegemon USA unipolarity "is irretrievably receding into the past and a multi-polar world is being born."

The process "cannot be stopped."

"There won't be one single ruler in this new reality."

"All key states with a decisive influence on the world economy and politics will have to come to terms" with this reality.

The dollar has been the source of hegemon USA's strength throughout the post-WW II period.

According to noted economist Michael Hudson days earlier, "(d)ollar hegemony ended…this week very abruptly."

It gave the US "a free ride" for over 75 years on the world stage.

"(G)rabbing (stealing the) foreign reserves" of Russia was the last straw.

More than ever before, it proved that nations "can no longer safely (deposit) reserves…in US banks or (buy) US Treasury securities, or hav(e) other US investments because they could simply be (stolen) as happened to Russia."

As a result, "(w)e're seeing the birth of a new dual world economy" — in dollarized and non-dollarized form.

What seemed highly unlikely to happen quickly not long ago is today's reality.

"Nothing like this (ever) happened (before) in modern history."

Harebrained US policies accelerated its decline on the world stage.

Knowing the threat of kicking Russia (and perhaps China) out of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) system, both countries (created) "an alternative system," Hudson explained.

They're "shifting over to using their own currenc(ies) with each other instead of using the dollar."

"(T)hat's part of what's "end(ing) dollar hegemony."

Lavrov's visit to China reflects Sino/Russia unity against hegemon USA's predations.

"All nations are equal and sovereign," he stressed.

None should subordinate their sovereign rights to a higher power.

Saying he cannot "come close to citing the number of times the US said one thing and d(id) another" stressed that its ruling regimes can never be trusted.

On Wednesday, Wang said Beijing supports peace talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations.

Russia's Foreign Ministry said the following on Thursday:

"The ministers had a thorough exchange of views on the situation around Ukraine."

"(H)ead of the Russian foreign ministry informed his Chinese counterpart about the progress of the special military operation…and dynamics of the negotiation process with the Kiev regime."

Both ministers stressed "the counterproductive nature of the illegal unilateral sanctions imposed on Russia by the (Biden regime) and its satellites."

"On March 31 through April 1…Lavrov is paying an official visit to New Delhi," India.

Prime Minister Modi refused to denounce Russia's special military operation in Ukraine and agreed to continue buying its oil at a discounted price.

Lavrov earlier stressed that Russia and India support mutual security and regional cooperation.

They oppose attempts by the US-dominated West to alter this arrangement.

Following talks between Lavrov and Wang, analyst Zhu Yongbiao said China and Russia are committed to maintaining strategic coordination on international issues.

Their alliance is mutually beneficial.

Lavrov also expressed concern about use of ISIS by hegemon USA and its Western vassal states to "destabiliz(e) (Afghanistan and other) Central Asian countries, (along with) exporting this instability to Russia."

Separately, Russia's Defense Ministry uncovered documents and other evidence to show that, as directed by its higher power in Washington, Kiev intended to use deadly pathogens — developed at Pentagon biolabs in Ukraine — against Donbass and Russia.

On Wednesday, Russia's Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov explained the plot, saying:

Russia's military has evidence to show that "the Kiev regime (planned) to use unmanned aerial vehicles capable of carrying and spraying deadly substances," adding:

Documents "prove that the Kiev regime was seriously considering the possibility of using biological weapons against the population of the Donbass and the Russian Federation."

Russia identified names of "officials who took part in the creation of components of biological weapons."

They're "heads of divisions and employees of the US (war) department, as well as its main contractors."

"(I)n the near future at a special briefing," Russia will reveal in greater detail what it discovered.

What hegemon USA and its MSM press agents call "Russian disinformation" is indisputable reality about longstanding war on humanity by both wings of Washington's one-party state.
