Supporting Tyranny, Opposing Freedom

by Stephen Lendman

In cahoots with US/Western dark forces, MSM support medical tyranny and abolition of what remains of free and open societies everywhere.

They're hostile to Canadian freedom fighting truckers, their US People's Convoy counterparts, as well as likeminded activists in Europe and elsewhere.

Mocking tens of thousands involved in Ottawa, Toronto, and other Canadian cities, the NYT dismissively called them "a handful of people (sic)."

Caricature of a PM Trudeau ignored reality by dismissing them as a "small fringe group."

Their goal is restoration of lost freedoms, not "disrupt(ing)" the lives of residents where activism is ongoing.

According to Times fake news, "residents say they have been harassed on the street (sic), and recount being frightened or even chased (sic)."

Reality is worlds apart from the above rubbish.

It's typical Times misreporting in support of powerful interests at the expense of most others.

Co-organizer Tamara Lich spoke for others involved in Ottawa, saying that protests will end the rule of law is restored, when freedom-destroying "mandates and restrictions" are rescinded.

According to reinvented reality by WaPo editors, trucker activists in Canada went "beyond legitimate protest into the realm of thuggery (sic)" adding:

"They flouted Canada's laws and constitution and modeled a threat to peace and order elsewhere that goes well beyond the exercise of free expression (sic)."

Fact: Protesting peacefully for the past two weeks, freedom-fighting truckers and supporters are complying fully with Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

It guarantees freedom of expression, assembly, and association, along with "the right to life, liberty and security of person and the right not to be deprived thereof in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice."

Truckers and supporters aren't "ideological extremists…conspiracy fantasists…white nationalists who have borne Nazi and Confederate images into Ottawa's staid streets (sic)," as WaPo falsely claimed.

There's nothing "lawless" about their actions for justice denied.

Nor is what's going on an "amorphous uprising against (Trudeau regime) restrictions…along with a hodgepodge of other grievances (sic)."

Like other MSM, WaPo defends what's indefensible by supporting health and freedom-destroying kill shots and all else flu/covid related — instead of upholding the rule of law by allying with justifiable trucker demands.

In response to blockage of the Ambassador Bridge between Windsor, Ontario and Detroit by Canadian truckers, Biden regime spokeswoman Psaki defied reality by falsely claiming that the action is unrelated to flu/covid mandates.

On Friday, Ontario Superior Court Chief Justice Geoffrey Morawetz sided with Windsor authorities and auto interests on both sides of the border by granting an injunction to end the blockade.

With annual cross-border trade of around $600 billion, the injunction was all about protecting profits over the rule of law.

As of pre-dawn Saturday, numbers of truckers continued to defy the court order.

Will US and Canadian police begin clearing the border crossing forcefully over the weekend?

Will protesters be arrested and jailed?

Will their trucks be confiscated for violating a court order?

According to Windsor mayor Drew Dilkens, if force is used against protesting truckers, things could "escalate very, very quickly."

Ontario premier Doug Ford said the following:

"So let me be as clear as I can."

"There will be consequences for these actions, and they will be severe."

"We've already started by going after the money funding the illegal occupation (sic)."

He threatened fines of up to $100,000 and up to a year in prison — for exercising Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms provisions.

On February 10, the Canada-based Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms announced the following:

A defense lawyer hotline was established for Canadian freedom-fighting truckers.

"Anyone who may be facing arrest, the confiscation of property or has criminal law related questions in relation to the Ottawa Freedom Convoy (or other protests) can speak to a lawyer at no charge."

The Justice Center prepared a legal "tip sheet…that provides guidance for dealing with police and potentially facing charges or tickets."

It explains legal rights afforded all Canadians.

An email address is listed for truckers to contact the Justice Center, along with a phone number.

On Friday, the Justice Center said it negotiated successfully of "our client 'R.B.' for allegedly obstructing police while attending a peaceful protest against (flu/covid) restrictions which took place on February 13, 2021 in Toronto."

" 'R.B. was criminally charged with "obstructing a Peace Officer' " contrary to section 129 of the Criminal Code of Canada for continuing his peaceful protest after being asked by the police to leave the area."

The Justice Center was successful in getting wrongful charges dropped.

It'll likely be involved in aiding other wrongfully accused Canadian freedom fighters for a considerable time to come.
