A Permanent State of US War on North Korea by Other Means Persists

by Stephen Lendman

After the Korean peninsula was artificially divided along the 38th parallel post-WW II, US ruling authorities waged permanent war on the nonbelligerent/nonthreatening DPRK by hot, then other means since Harry Truman's aggression from June 1950 to July 1953.

A state of permanent Cold War persisted since it ended, the US refusing to normalize relations to the present day.

So-called steps taken in this direction by the Clinton crime family and Trump were more head-fake deception than good faith efforts otherwise.

According to the UN Charter, all nations have the right of self-defense, what US dark forces want its invented adversaries denied.

In mid-September, the DPRK's Yonhap News Agency announced the following:

"North Korea has successfully test-fired a new type of long-range cruise missiles over the weekend," adding:

"The test-firings took place on Saturday and Sunday after two years of research, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA)."

"The development of the long-range cruise missile, a strategic weapon of great significance….has been pushed forward according to the scientific and reliable weapon system development process for the past two years."

"Detailed tests of missile parts, scores of engine ground thrust tests, various flight tests, control and guidance tests, warhead power tests, etc. were conducted with success."

On Tuesday, Biden regime State Department deputy spokesman Jalina Porter unacceptably slammed North Korea's legal test with self-defense in mind as follows, saying:

"(T)his launch is in violation of multiple UN Security Council resolutions (sic), and it also poses a threat to DPRK's neighbors and the international community (sic)."

"We remain committed to a diplomatic approach to the DPRK (sic), and we also call on the DPRK to engage in dialogue (sic)."

"(W)e are committed to a diplomatic approach to the DPRK (sic)."

Weeks earlier, State Department spokesman Price falsely claimed that the Biden regime "is prepared to engage in principled negotiations" with Pyongyang.

It's what the US never did before throughout the country's history, clearly what Biden regime hardliners have no intention of doing ahead.

Months of indirect Biden regime JCPOA talks with Iran — accomplishing nothing — is further proof of hostile US intentions toward all nations free from its hegemonic control.

Normalization is ruled out, how Washington operated throughout the post-WW II period — a policy that clearly won't change toward North Korea, an invented US enemy for nearly 75 years.

Like US/NATO/Israel and their forever war partners, no international laws deny the DPRK's right to develop weapons for self-defense.

Throughout the country's history from inception, its ruling authorities never preemptively attacked another nation.

Leader Kim Jong-un threatens none today — except in self-defense if the nation is attacked, the legal right of all countries under the UN Charter.

Days earlier, Pyongyang's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) correctly reported the following:

"Human rights touted by the US are nothing but a trick (used in pursuit of) its wild ambition for dominating the world," adding:

"The US is the most heinous human rights abuser in the world that severely disturbs the normal and peaceful development of sovereign states under the (phony) pretext of (supporting) 'human rights.' "

The US flagrantly "abuses human rights (at home and abroad to) pressure…anti-imperialist independent countries" to bend to its will.

"(M)any countries resolutely stand against the US human rights farce for curbing their development."

Last month, North Korean envoy to Russia Sin Hong-chol stressed that as long as US forces occupy South Korea, peace and stability on the peninsula will remain unattainable.

Washington's so-called "commitment to diplomacy (and) dialogue without preconditions" is head-fake deception in pursuit of no end to dirty business as usual — what Sin called US "military madness," adding:

The Biden regime is "openly engaged in hostile actions against Asia Pacific states, including Russia," China and his own country.

According to KCNA on Thursday:

In his address to the fifth session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Jong-un stressed that the US remains implacably hostile toward Pyongyang.

Its regional military presence continues to threaten North Korean security.

Separately, state media reported the following on Tuesday:

A newly developed "hypersonic missile" was launched, its "first test" flight.

"(D)efense scientists confirmed the flight maneuverability and stability of the missile."

"As a result of the test, all the technical indicators that were intended were satisfied with the design requirements."

Reports of the launch followed the address of Pyongyang's UN envoy Kim Song before the world body's 76th General Assembly session during which he denounced longstanding "hostile (US) policy" toward his nation.

Nothing in prospect suggests a change of policy, notably not as long Biden regime hardliners run things.
