Belarus Bashing by Biden Regime Hardliners

Both right wings of the US war party long ago earmarked Belarus for regime change — wanting pro-Western puppet rule in another nation bordering Russia.

Last August after longtime Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko easily defeated opposition nobody Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, US/Western-orchestrated protests failed to change the outcome or undermine the country's ruling authorities.

Together with Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, Belarus and Russia are Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states.

Along with calling for them to abstain from use of force, the alliance pledged military support in case a CSTO nation is invaded by foreign elements.

Like its predecessor, the Biden regime aims to destabilize Belarus and replace its leadership to eliminate another Russian allied government.

In response to a May Ryanair incident blown way out of proportion by Biden regime hardliners, its Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on Monday illegally sanctioned 16 Belarusian officials and five entities for invented reasons.

Complicit EU regimes added their own, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas saying they're all about "dry(ing) up…sources of funding" for Minsk.

On May 23, Ryanair Flight 4978 on route to Vilnius was diverted to Minsk over a suspected false alarm bomb threat.

Telegram channel founder Roman Protasevich and his girlfriend Sofia Sapega were detained.

He was targeted for involvement in what Belarusian authorities called an extremist operation, she on suspicion of involvement in US/Western-orchestrated anti-government protests last summer.

Minsk claimed its action complied with international aviation rules.

A transcript of its air traffic controller's conversation with the Ryanair pilot showed nothing illegal was ordered.

US/Western claims otherwise over what happened ignored how the Obama/Biden regime pressured EU officials to obstruct then-Bolivian President Evo Morales' safe passage home from Moscow by closing airspace to divert its route, forcing it to make an emergency landing for lack of enough fuel to continue.

At the time, John Pilger called the incident "an act of air piracy and state terrorism…(US/Western) "gangsterism." 

"(G)angsterism" rules the world, Pilger stressed. Cowards and hypocrites "dare not speak its name."

Bolivia formally complained to UN authorities. Citing EU aggression, its government called the incident a high altitude kidnapping attempt. 

On Monday, a statement by interventionist Blinken falsely accused Lukashenko's government of "repression in Belarus, including attacks on human rights, democratic processes, and fundamental freedoms (sic)."

All of the above apply to hegemon USA and its imperial partners.

Defying reality, Blinken also falsely claimed a nonexistent US-led "transatlantic commitment" for "democratic" rule in Belarus Washington and other Western regimes tolerate nowhere — especially not at home.

According to Biden regime Presidential Proclamation (PP) 8015, visa restrictions were imposed on 46 Belarusian officials — for invented reasons.

Blinken lied claiming last August's presidential election was "fraudulent (sic)."

He lied accusing Minsk of "blocking independent media (and making) politically motivated arrests (sic)."

He falsely accused Belarusian authorities of "tortur(ing)" detained individuals (sic) — a longstanding US/NATO/Israeli specialty.

Saying the Biden regime "stand(s) with the people of Belarus in support of their fundamental freedoms" is polar opposite how both wings of the US war party operate.

Separately, a joint (Biden regime drafted) statement by the US, UK, EU and Canada included a litany of bald-faced Big Lies, saying:

"We are united in our deep concern regarding…Lukashenka('s) continuing attacks on human rights, fundamental freedoms, and international law (sic)." 

Coordinated US-led steps were announced against Belarus, including virtually demanding that Minsk subordinate its sovereign rights to Western interests — in defiance of international law.

In response to Illegal Western sanctions, Lukashenko said the following on Thursday:

"What gross regional product will we have at the end of the year after these crazy sanctions?" 

"We have been preparing for (what) we knew could happen," adding:

"We must show those rascals across the border that their sanctions are their impotence. And we will do it."

If Western regimes launch war, "we would rally to the defense of our country immediately." 

"But why don't we want to work now" in time of peace to avoid conflict? 

"Discipline is key. Only discipline."

Separately, Lukashenko accused Western regimes of "waging a hybrid war against us.

"I want to ask them. Have you gone crazy?"

"You are strangling us, systematically and collectively, ruining us, trying to kill our economy and expect us to spend hundreds of millions of US dollars, as before, to protect your geopolitical interests." 

"Only insane people would think that and expect us to support them."

So far, US-led Western war by other means against Belarus failed.

Allied with Russia, it has a powerful supportive ally.

The vast majority of Russians experienced a lost 1990s decade under Western darling Boris Yeltsin.

Guided by US shock therapy economic genocide, over half the population became impoverished.

GDP plunged 50%. Life expectancy fell sharply.

An oligarch class accumulated enormous wealth.  

Western interests profited hugely at the expense of millions of exploited Russians.

US/Western regimes have the same thing in mind for Belarus.

Putin turned things around by serving independently of Western control after after becoming Russia's president, why he's reviled in Washington.

Lukashenko operates much the same way, why he's targeted for removal by US/Western dark forces to facilitate the transformation of Belarus into a vassal state under their control.

The diabolical scheme hasn't worked so far and won't likely fare better ahead.

Belarusians aware of regional history want their nation to avoid US/Western-orchestrated devastation experienced by neighboring Russia in the 1990s.
