Press TV Undaunted by Lawless Biden Regime Assault

On all things Iran — including its truth-telling media — the Biden regime's hostile Tuesday assault surprised no one. 

Hardliners in charge of its drive for hegemony escalated war on the country and its people by other means.

Since taking office, they've gone all out to eliminate the possibility of more normalized relations.

On Tuesday, they also drove a stake through the heart of JCPOA talks in Vienna, dooming them as likely pre-planned.

After its flagrant First Amendment and international law breach by illegally seizing over 30 Iranian and other regional web domains — for invented reasons, knowing no legitimate ones exist — targeted Press TV continues operating at presstv.ir.

It's targeted by both right wings of the US war party for truth-telling journalism as it should be — what establishment media long ago abandoned.

On Wednesday, Press TV explained that seizure of its web domain by Biden regime hardliners was all about "muzzling" speech and media freedoms to "silence independent voices."

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh called the lawless move a "systematic attempt…to undermine freedom of expression on a global level," adding:

The "disgraceful" action replicates its predecessor's "maximum pressure" lawlessness, achieving nothing but a blacker black eye than already for its contempt for international and its own constitutional law.

Iran will respond to illegal Biden regime "bullying" though legal channels.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) also denounced the Biden regime's assault, saying: 

It "strongly condemns (its) action to block the Internet domains of the official media of the Islamic Republic of Iran and some other media outlets of the resistance front as a gross violation of freedom of expression and an attack on free and independent media," adding:

The action was taken under "unrealistic, irrational and false excuses." 

It's further evidence of "the arrogant nature of Washington and its blatant violation of and deliberate disregard for international rules and the international system."

Iranian and other regional truth-telling media were attacked before. Clearly it'll happen again as part of longstanding US/Western war on the country by other means.

IRIB's World Service head Peyman Jebelli said "(a)fter the victory of the Palestinian resistance over the Zionist regime in 'Operation al-Quds Sword', we expected to be subjected to restrictions," adding:

"What is important to the US is to silence the voice of the resistance." 

"All media promoting resistance in any language were able to expose the conspiracies of the American-Zionist axis in the region and the world."

"(T)he impact of our media content on the world and Islamic public opinion is much greater than that of the enemy media."

"The voice of truth can never be silenced."

Separately, Press TV said an attempted sabotage of an Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) facility — likely by Israel's Bennett regime — was foiled. 

President Rouhani's government vowed to respond to what happened in a way and time of Iran's choosing.

Separately, a report by pro-Western UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet arrogantly defied reality in cahoots with anti-Iranian dark forces.

On Tuesday, Iran's UN envoy Esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh denounced her perversion of reality report, saying the following:

"The Islamic Republic is fully committed to the protection and promotion of human rights and respects its international obligations." 

"Accordingly, yesterday it submitted its fourth national report on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights to the Human Rights Committee."

"We call on all countries to adhere to the principles of universality, impartiality and non-selectivity in dealing with human rights issues and the elimination of double standards and political work." 

"We call on all those who really care about human rights to recognize the need for the rule of law and the centrality of judicial systems in upholding the rule of law and protecting human rights."

The Biden regime "continues the illegal and inhumane legacy of (its predecessor), which is completely contrary to international law and the fundamental principles of humanity."

US dark forces, "its supporters, and countries that enforce Washington's unilateral and coercive measures must be held accountable for widespread and grave human rights abuses."

"The anti-Iran (UNHRC) report…is based on a purely political agenda presented by a group of like-minded or partisan countries that have long used human rights as part of their hostile plans against Iran." 

"The product of such a prejudicial mission is inevitably the strengthening of prejudices."

"The…report is one of four annual (ones), all of which are similar in content and tone, inevitably prepared to fulfill the mission of several Western countries, to put pressure on Iran."

"These reports…are based on relevant General Assembly resolutions submitted by Canada, a country that more than a decade ago decided to sever diplomatic relations with Iran for no apparent reason and also insists on its policy of depriving the Iranian community of its basic consular rights, motivated by targeting Iran and promoting negative stereotypes."

"We hoped that the responsible and professional approach of Iran would be reciprocated by the authors of the report, but the vast majority of Iran's 60-page comments and explanations were ignored."

Bachelet falsely accused Iran of human rights abuses against "women and men of every religious faith, ethnic origin, social class and other status (sic)" — a bald-faced Big Lie.

At the same time, she ignored high crimes of war by the US, NATO, and apartheid Israel.

She long ago lost credibility by mocking principles she's sworn to uphold — in deference to hostile to rule of law/US-led Western interests she supports.
