When Is a Summit Not One?

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

Summits involve talks between government officials of the highest level, notably heads of state.

That's not what's planned in Geneva on June 16.

As now scheduled, Putin will meet with Biden's impersonator — a lookalike figure enlisted to represent him in public.

The real Biden is too cognitively impaired to carry out White House duties.

Declining cognitively for some time, Biden is a shadow of his former self.

Most Dems and Republicans know it. So do G7 and other world leaders, notably Putin.

Establishment media have long known what they suppress, rare exceptions proving the rule.

On rare occasions when the real Biden appears in public, his remarks are jumbled and largely incoherent.

He can't remember names, dates, and places, understand what's in executive orders he signed, or know what's done in his name overall.

He was selected, not elected, last November.

Why is Putin meeting with an illegitimate US head of state's impersonator?

Why is he pretending that talks in Geneva — certain to achieve nothing positive — are worth his time and effort — clearly knowing otherwise.

Days earlier, Putin pretended that Geneva "summit" talks can "restore our personal contacts and relations (sic), establish a direct dialogue and create really functioning mechanisms of interaction in the areas of mutual interest (sic)," adding:

Strategic stability, regional conflicts, environmental protection, and economic cooperation "are issues where we can effectively work" together (sic).

"If we create mechanisms of work in all these areas after this meeting, it seems to me that it would be good. It could be said that the meeting has been useful."

Putin and other Russian officials know that the above aims won't be accomplished with a US regime more militantly hostile toward Moscow and him personally than any other US one in modern memory.

Sunday on US national television, interventionist Blinken — who'll accompany Biden's double when meeting with Putin for damage control as needed — said the following:

"Biden — meaning his double — won't hold back."

He intends telling Putin "what (he) wants him to know."

Nothing conveyed to Russia's leader this week won't be what he already knows.

Russia and Putin bashing will take center stage in Geneva.

According to Blinken's perversion of reality, illegal Biden regime sanctions on Russia "may have prevented further (sic) Russian aggression (sic)."

Summit talks with Putin "seek a more predictable, stable relationship (sic)."

They're unattainable because dominant US hardliners prioritize toughness in dealing with nations free from their hegemonic control.

Blinken showed it saying "if Russia continues to take reckless and aggressive actions (sic), we'll respond forcefully, as we've already done when it comes to election interference (sic), when it comes to the SolarWinds cyber-attack (sic), when it comes to the attempt to poison and kill Mr. Navalny (sic)," adding:

"Russia will have to decide by its actions which direction it wants to go in (sic)."

Russia is a world leader in promoting peace, stability, cooperative relations with other nations, and compliance with international law.

Hegemon USA's belligerent agenda is polar opposite, waging forever war on humanity in pursuit of unchallenged global dominance.

Blinken resembles Pompeo's thuggishness with a party label difference.

He lied accusing Russia of "ransomware attacks."

He lied claiming Russia "harbor(s) criminal groups that engage in these attacks."

He and Biden's double will confront Putin on phony issues he cited, adding:

"(W)e're going to…take action to stop" what Russia had nothing to do with.

Summit talks this week follow G7, NATO, EU ones preceding them.

According to Blinken, they're "an incredibly powerful force militarily, economically (and) politically" — for ill, not good, he failed to explain.

Separately, he falsely blamed China and Iran for hostile US actions against both countries.

His remarks related to the JCPOA nuclear deal showed that the Biden regime has no intention of returning to compliance as mandated by Security Council Res. 2231.

He falsely accused Iran "pulling out of the agreement" — knowing reality is the other way around.

Iran is in full compliance with its obligations — what the US and E 3 flagrantly breached and did nothing to reverse their lawbreaking.

As reported by Russian media on Saturday, Putin and Biden (his double, that is) will hold separate news conferences after Geneva talks.

It's because Biden's impersonator can do little more than recite lines scripted for him, especially what he can read from a teleprompter.

He'll be accompanied by aides when meeting with Putin because he's unable to go one-on-one with world leaders, especially not with a figure of Putin's stature.

Talks in Geneva will be an exercise of futility, a waste of time.

They'll achieve nothing positive for Moscow, while giving Biden's double and aides a platform to wrongfully bash Moscow and Putin personally.

Days earlier, I said the summit's epitaph is already written.

No chance for normalization — or anything positive in bilateral relations — exists!
