US Hostile to China Innovation and Competition Act of 2021

On Tuesday, the US Senate passed the so-called Innovation and Competition Act of 2021 by a vote of 68 to 32.

The White House will sign the anti-China bill into law after virtually sure adoption by majority House members.

The measure is all about escalating US war on China by other means.

Defying reality, undemocratic Dem Senate leader Schumer said the following:

"This (bloated $250 billion) bill could be the turning point for American leadership in the 21st century (sic), and for that reason, this legislation will go down as one of the most significant bipartisan achievements of the US Senate in recent history (sic)."

Along with funding US semiconductor manufacturing and innovation, it bars US officials from attending the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics over phony human rights issues.

It perpetuates the Big Lie about nonexistent genocide in China's Jinjiang region.

It strengthens US ties to Taiwan, what Beijing considers a breakaway province to be reunited with the mainland.

It includes anti-China military funding in cahoots with Australia, India and Japan —so-called Quad countries.

It targets what it calls hostile Chinese influence on US college campuses, online and through international organizations — that doesn't exist.

It calls for more illegal sanctions on China — based on phony accusations of cyberattacks, intellectual property theft and human rights abuses.

Because of the measure's unacceptable high cost that will greatly increase the already out-of-control US deficit, hostile to China hawks Ted Cruz, Rick Scott, and other Senate hardliners voted against the bill.

Interventionist Blinken applauded the measure, saying:

"It's going to give us new tools, new resources to deal more effectively with competition" from China.

The measure notably called Chinese tech giant Huawei "an ongoing threat to the critical infrastructure of the United States or its allies (sic)."

Its certain adoption virtually assures no change in unacceptable US toughness on China by Biden regime hardliners.

In response to Senate passage on Tuesday, China's official People's Daily accused the US of pursuing a "Cold War mentality," adding:

The hostile measure "shows Washington's growing anxiety over and ideological prejudice towards China's development, as well as its paranoia to maintain America's global technological superiority."

Dominant US hardliners "are steering their country onto a wrong and dangerous path, which will only harm" its security, stability, and position on the world stage.

The so-called "China-threat" doesn't exist.

The phony claim is used by US "politicians (to) score cheap political points…"

"(D)emonizing China won't fix chronic, deep-rooted political, social and economic problems that have been plaguing the US for decades." 

The bloated bill is the latest example of wasteful US spending at the expense of pursuing sound domestic and foreign policies — long ago abandoned by its ruling class.

Instead of fostering cooperative relations with China and other nations, Washington's agenda is hostile and self-destructive longterm.

The foreign affairs committee of China's National People's Congress accused the US of seeking to undermine the "legitimate right" of China and other nations to develop economically and technologically.

The US anti-China measure "shows that paranoid delusion of egoism has distorted the original intention of innovation and competition."

Since taking office by brazen election rigging, the Biden regime added 59 Chinese companies to the Commerce Department's so-called Entity List.

They're barred from purchasing US technology with Washington's permission.

The blacklist includes "businesses, research institutions, government and private organizations, individuals, and other types of legal persons — that are subject to specific license requirements for the export, reexport and/or transfer (in-country) of specified items" — according to the US Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security.

China is its main target. It's used to wage war on the country by other means — along with pushing the envelope toward direct confrontation if hostile US actions keep escalating.
