Dear Ernest,
Thank you for your email and for the opportunity to assist you.
The health and safety of our guests remains our highest priority and we take this responsibility very seriously. While we understand that the Governor ordered all state-wide remaining COVID-19 mandates on Arizona businesses and events to be lifted, in accordance with CDC guidelines Harkins Theatres will continue to require masks. As a proud participant in the CinemaSafe program, commissioned by the National Association of Theatre Owners, our decision is based on industry-specific health and safety protocols, and guidelines developed and supported by the CDC and other leading epidemiologists to support a safe return to movie theaters. Consequently, we will continue to require guests and vendors to wear face masks in our theatres for all public areas, including the restrooms, except while eating and drinking in their seats. Guests who arrive without a face mask will be asked to wear one before they are admitted or return after these protocols have relaxed. Each theatre will also have disposable face coverings for guests who didn't bring their own.
We appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe while attending a Harkins Theatre. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to let us know.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for choosing Harkins Theatres.
