NYT Support for Election Fraud, Aggression, and Illegal Foreign Occupations

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

The state of the nation politically and economically has never been more dismal and alarming in modern memory than now.

Unprecedented economic collapse will likely worsen and continue longterm for the vast majority of US households — while privileged interests never had things better.

If Biden/Harris succeed Trump in January, ongoing wars on invented enemies by hot and other means will likely escalate, new ones perhaps launched — while vital homeland needs go begging, notably what's essential for the lives and welfare of ordinary Americans.

Instead of troop pullouts from war theaters and ending illegal foreign occupations, polar opposite policies are virtually certain.

Police state rule may be harsher than already.

Speech, media, and academic freedoms may be more greatly eroded or abolished altogether.

Whether Trump or Biden/Harris are inaugurated in January, the outlook ahead is grim — grimmer with undemocratic Dems in charge.

Ahead of 2024, full-blown tyranny may be the law of the land, maybe WW III along with it.

That's today's disturbing reality. Instead of sounding the alarm and supporting polar opposite domestic and geopolitical policies, establish media cheerlead what just societies abhor — notably the self-styled newspaper of record NYT.

In his latest propaganda piece — real journalism banned in his columns — Tom Friedman tiptoed close to calling for abolition of the GOP, asking:

"Can we (ever) trust this (party) in power again?"

No responsible editors would touch this rubbish. Times editors featured it.

According to Friedman's doublethink, "American democracy" that doesn't exist and never did "narrowly escaped disaster (with) Biden's election (sic)."

On November 3, Trump won a second term in office — not the other way around.

If Biden/Harris are inaugurated in January, they'll have been selected, clearly not elected.

Friedman is one of a stable of hack "journalists" at the Times. Legitimate ones need not apply.

Along with promoting the myth of democracy in America, he called the result of some of the brazen election theft in US history "awesome (sic)…our greatest expression of American democratic vitality (sic) since" at least the 19th century.

It gets worse in further remarks but the point is clear.

How can anyone ever trust anything this bootlicking imposter claims? The same goes for the Times and other establishment media.

On all issues relating to war and peace, they cheerleads the former while abhorring the latter.

In response to an announced drawdown of US forces from Afghanistan and Iraq, remarks by the Times showed it supports illegal foreign occupations, opposes ending them, saying:

"Afghan officials fear the cuts will encourage the Taliban to keep fighting" — US-installed puppet ones left unexplained by the Times.

Nor throughout over 19 years of US aggression against a nation threatening no others did the Times and other establishment media ever explain that Afghanistan belongs to the Afghans — free from foreign occupation.

No justification exists for the presence of US troops in any foreign nations.

Imagine the public reaction domestically if foreign forces occupied US territory.

Iraqis and at least most of the country's lawmakers oppose the presence of US occupying forces.

Defying reality, the Times falsely claimed that US troops in Iraq are "a hedge against a resurgence of the Islamic State."

Like always before, it failed to explain that ISIS and likeminded jihadists were made in and supported by the US, used as proxy ground forces, part of its war OF terror on targeted nations.

A world without US wars of aggression and illegal foreign occupations would be a giant step in the right direction over the dismal status quo.

The Times and other establishment media pretend otherwise.

They're enemies of peace, stability, equity, justice, the rule of law — and truth-telling journalism the way it's supposed to be.
