Biden/Harris Press Agent NYT - Part II

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

Since cognitively and physically impaired Biden, along with ethically tainted/injustice advocate Harris were chosen by Dems as party standard bearers, the NYT has been operating as their press agents.

Daily Times editions feature pro-Biden/Harris puff pieces, along with Trump bashing ones.

The former ignore Biden's near half-century of shilling for powerful interests at the expense of world peace, stability, equity, justice and the rule of law.

They ignore his cognitive and physical decline, along with signs of early Parkinson's disease — making him physically and mentally unfit to serve.

They also suppressed Harris' disturbing prosecutorial record before elected US senator.

Calling herself a"progressive prosecutor" is polar opposite reality, a figure one-sidedly serving injustice over the other way around.

Together they comprise one of the most disturbing duos ever chosen by Dems to be standard bearers — figures warranting no voter support.

Instead of setting the record straight about them, the Times engaged in coverup.

Times editors never forgave Trump for defeating media darling Hillary.

Wanting revenge, they've gone all-out to vilify him, largely for the wrong reasons, ignoring the most important right ones that both wings of the one-party state support.

In its latest edition, the Times dubiously claimed that physically, cognitively, and ethically tainted Biden can be another LBJ, referring to his Great Society programs.

For all his faults, including a decade of US Southeast Asia aggression against nations threatening no one, his domestic achievements included Medicare, Medicaid, improvements in Social Security, civil and voting rights acts, Head Start, his war on poverty (that was more of a skirmish), and much more.

His era was the last hurrah in the US for policies that greatly benefitted ordinary Americans.

Over the last half century, especially since the neoliberal 90s, Republicans and undemocratic Dems eroded them, Biden involved in what went on.

His record is polar opposite support for New Deal, Fair Deal, and Great Society programs.

At a time of economic collapse and unemployment exceeding its level during the depths of the Great Depression, Biden/Harris are more likely to make a dismal situation worse than better, the same true for Trump.

It's why the choice for US voters is none at all. The Times pretends otherwise.

It falsely claimed that while already controlling the House, if Dems manage to win 50 Senate seats — what's unlikely but possible with several undecided contests — they'll pursue progressive change.

They haven't done it in decades and won't if Biden succeeds Trump.

Ted Kaufman in charge of his transition team — assuming he wins — was quoted saying "when we get in, the pantry is going to be bare," code language for as far as progressive change goes, fuggedaboutit!

A Biden/Harris regime may resemble Obama/Biden's tenure — featuring endless wars by hot and other means, serving privileged interests exclusively, and force-feeding neoliberal harshness on ordinary Americans.

They'll resemble Trump's tenure, perhaps with hot war against one or more newly invented enemies, along with continuing ongoing ones in Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria and Libya — plus wars by other means on China, Russia, Iran and other countries.

At the same time, Biden is too physically and cognitively lame to lead.

Will Harris serve as de facto president if final election results go their way?

Defying reality, the Times claimed  that "simply by being himself and not Donald Trump, (Biden) can make a monumental difference" — citing his nonexistent "basic goodness and empathy."

He's clearly no modern-day LBJ, a bigger-than-life senator and president until undone by defeat in Vietnam.

Whatever Biden was politically as senator and vice president, he's a shadow of his former self today physically and mentally.

In those respects, he's clearly not up to the challenge of serving as head of state.

It's just a matter of time before he fades from the scene, perhaps for nursing home care he's unable to provide for himself.

Instead of explaining his frail condition and near-half century record of shame, the Times and other establishment media reinvented him into something he never was and clearly isn't now.

What should be clear to everyone following the US political scene is that no one is permitted to serve as president or in high congressional posts who doesn't support dirty business as usual continuity.
