Hard-Hitting Senate Report on Hunter Biden While Father Was VP

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

GOP-controlled Senate Homeland and Government Affairs and Senate Finance Committees published a report on dubious Hunter Biden financial dealings.

It "revealed millions of dollars in questionable financial transactions between Hunter Biden and his associates and foreign individuals, including (a Russian billionaire) and individuals with ties to the Chinese Communist Party."

Throughout a near-half century as US senator and vice president, Joe Biden's disturbing domestic and geopolitical record exposed him.

As part of the Obama regime alone, he's guilty of high crimes of war and against humanity against Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Occupied Palestine in cahoots with Israel, and Ukraine.

He was involved in late 2013/early 2014 coup that replaced democracy in Ukraine with fascist tyranny by installing billionaire Petro Poroshenko as puppet president serving US interests.

Both figures colluded to wage war on Donbass freedom fighters, wanting democratic rule over Nazi-infested fascist tyranny in Kiev.

Biden pressured Poroshenko to fire Kiev's Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin from office for investigating Hunter's dubious dealings as a Ukrainian Burisma Holdings board member.

He was paid around $50,000 monthly to give the company access to the Obama/Biden White House.

Burisma at the time was also accused of involvement in a UK money laundering operation.

Joe Biden threatened to withhold an Obama regime billion dollar loan guarantee to Kiev if Shokin wasn't sacked.

The former prosecutor general accused Biden of "directly manipulat(ing) the political leadership of Ukraine on false pretexts…"

His blackmail threat got the probe of son Hunter's dubious involvement with Bursima dropped.

The GOP Senate report revealed "conflicts of interest arising from Hunter Biden accepting a position on the board of, and taking millions of dollars from, Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company with a longstanding reputation for corruption, while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president and the public face of the Obama administration's handling of Ukraine policy."

Conflict of interest issues raised by former US Kiev embassy deputy chief of mission George Kent in 2015 went unaddressed by Biden in the Obama White House.

In 2016, Kent said "the presence of Hunter Biden on the Burisma board was very awkward for all US officials pushing an anti-corruption agenda in Ukraine."

In 2015, senior State Department official Amos Hochstein raised concerns with father and son Biden about the latter's ties to Burisma.

According to the Senate report, "Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly paid a $7 million bribe to officials serving under Ukraine's prosecutor general, Vitaly Yarema, to 'shut the case against Zlochevsky.' "

"Kent testified that this bribe occurred in December 2014 (seven months after Hunter Biden joined Burisma's board), and, after learning about it, he and the resident legal adviser reported this allegation to the FBI."

Hunter and his business partner Devon Archer were paid over $4  million by Burisma, along with "millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds."

"Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from (Inteko plastics company billionaire) Elena Baturina…widow of the former mayor of Moscow."

Reportedly she sent 11 wire transfers to a BAK USA bank account, a tech startup that went bankrupt in 2019 — 9 of the 11 transfers to Rosemont Seneca Partners, an investment firm founded by Hunter and Chris Heinz, John Kerry's stepson.

Baturina called her involvement with Hunter "a financial relationship" with no further elaboration.

According to the UK Daily Mail, Chris Heinz ended his business ties to Hunter after he joined Burisma's board over concerns about company and Ukraine corruption.

The Washington Examiner said Hunter "detailed (his) drug and alcohol addiction(s) (that) contributed to his divorce and dismissal from the Navy Reserve."

Ahead of his father's announced presidential run this year, Hunter stepped down from Burisma's board.

According to the Washington Examiner, "Archer was convicted for his role in an unrelated Ponzi scheme last November, but was recently granted a new trial."

The Senate report said "Hunter…had business (dealings) with Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong, and other Chinese nationals linked to the Communist government and People's Liberation Army."

"Those associations resulted in millions of dollars in questionable transactions."

"Hunter…moved millions of dollars from his law firm to James Biden's and Sara Biden's firm."

She declined to explain why.

Hunter reportedly was linked to an "Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring."

If any, most, or all of the above is accurate, it raises serious conflict of interest and illicit activity issues for the Bidens.

To what extent, if any, did the former vice president facilitate Hunter's financial activities?

It's unclear if any of the above was confirmed by FBI investigators.

Given Joe Biden's aim to succeed Trump as US president, he has much to explain about his own dubious dealings as US senator and vice president — along with possible involvement with Hunter's questionable financial activities.
