Toughness the Only Language the Decadent West Understands

Far too often, Western nations subordinate their rights and interests to US hegemonic demands and aims — operating more as subservient colonies than as sovereign independent nations.

Time and again, they yield to a higher power even when detrimental to what best serves them.

Their attitude toward Russia is especially disturbing, a nation that prioritizes cooperative relations with others, at war with none, threatening none.

In stark contrast, the US, its NATO partners and Israel are addicted to preemptive wars on invented enemies.

Washington notably glorifies endless wars in the name of peace both right wings of the one-party state and their echo-chamber media abhor.

At a time when today's super-weapons can destroy planet earth and all its lifeforms if unleashed full-force, ending US-dominated NATO's addiction to forever wars is vital before they end us.

Yet its imperial threat to humanity goes unchallenged by a subservient West that bends to its will.

Time and again, diplomatic outreach by Russia to the US-dominated West fails.

The only language these nations understand is toughness — short of escalating to war able to kill us all.

Berlin's phony claim that Russia poisoned Putin critic Alexey Navalny by exposure to a deadly novichok nerve agent flies in the face of analysis by Russian toxicologists who diagnosed his illness as a metabolic disorder.

Along with a strong statement by Russia's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, Sergey Lavrov slammed Germany's false accusation.

Unacceptably holding Moscow responsible for Navalny's illness, Lavrov also criticized Berlin for noncooperation with the Kremlin on the issue. 

Slamming what he called Berlin's "arrogant" response to Moscow's legitimate demand for medical information on Navalny's condition, confirmed by DNA analysis, Lavrov said the following:

"(W)e have amassed quite a few questions for our German colleagues regarding the absolutely inappropriate attitude to those official inquiries that we have sent to Berlin, including an official inquiry from the Prosecutor General's Office to render legal assistance according to an agreement between our countries," adding:

"We are not satisfied with the essence of the reaction to our authorized, legal, and well-founded requirements to fulfill obligations under intergovernmental agreements on legal assistance, nor are we satisfied with the absolutely unacceptable tone in which the German position is being communicated to the world community."

Angela Merkel's government stonewalled Russia's diplomatic outreach for nearly two weeks, ignoring its request for medical information on Navalny and mutual cooperation on the issue of his illness, Lavrov adding:

Berlin's refusal to provide Russia with information it claims to have "in the sphere of chemical substances" is unacceptable.

Instead, its arrogant response to Russia has been "you know everything already and you should be held responsible for everything" — sounding like a remark written by the CIA for Berlin to repeat about Russia.

On Wednesday in Moscow, German envoy Geza Andreas von Geir declined to comment publicly on Navalny.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova slammed what she called Berlin's "serving smeary political fuss" bluff.

Not a shred of credible evidence suggests Kremlin responsibility for what happened to Navalny, no motive for wanting harm to a figure with around 2% public support at home, according to polling data.

Moscow considers German noncooperative stonewalling on the Navalny issue a "blatant hostile provocation (that's) fraught with consequences for Russian-German relations" and complicates geopolitics on the world stage.

Was Navalny's illness a metabolic disorder as analysis by Russian toxicologists determined — or were CIA dirty hands responsible for his illness?

Pompeo headed the agency before shifted to State, earlier saying the following:

"I was the CIA director. We lied. We cheated. We stole." 

"We had entire training courses. It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment (sic)."

On Wednesday, Pompeo unjustifiably said there's a "substantial chance" that what happened to Navalny was ordered by "senior Russian officials," adding:

Washington and Brussels "made clear" that Moscow must "hold those responsible…accountable" for what happened to Navalny.

"(P)eople all around the world see this kind of activity for what it is (sic)."

Separately last Friday, Trump said "(w)e haven't had any proof yet," adding he'll look into the matter "very seriously," and has no reason to doubt what Berlin claims.

Author/historian/US policy critic William Blum documented America's imperial policies since WW II.

He explained how Washington topples sovereign governments, assassinates legitimate leaders, removes others by coup d'etats, operates secret torture prisons, manipulates foreign elections, and reigns terror on every continent – an agenda more ruthless today than ever.

US policies are "worse than (most people) imagine," Blum explained. They include virtually every conceivable form of lawlessness.

CIA consultant from 1967 - 1973 Chalmers Johnson called for the agency's abolition, stressing that democracy and its existence are incompatible.

Russia has nothing to hide about Navalny's condition, Lavrov stressed.

As long as Germany refuses to disclose medical information on Navalny, claiming he was poisoned by a novichok nerve agent is dubious at best, a bald-faced Big Lie at worst that's detrimental to relations with Russia.
