Sergey Lavrov Slams West on Belarus

Anti-government protests in Belarus following its August 9 presidential election were planned and orchestrated by US dark forces well in advance.

When occur in nations targeted by the US for regime change like Belarus, they're not spontaneously like they're made to appear to be.

They're all about wanting pro-Western puppet rule replacing sovereign independent governance, the US gaining another imperial trophy.

On Tuesday after meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei in Moscow, Lavrov said the following:

"This is probably the first time Belarus has faced a serious threat of destabilization, which is taking place with the most energetic intervention from outside," adding: 

"We condemn the pressure that a number of foreign states are now trying to exert on the legitimate authorities of Belarus, openly supporting the opposition dissatisfied with the results of the presidential election."  

"We are building the common Union State. We have been fruitfully cooperating in a variety of areas, including participation in multilateral associations in the post-Soviet space."

In stark contrast to the US-led West, Russia refrains from meddling in the internal affairs of other countries.

Lavrov noted that Vladimir Putin endorsed Alexander Lukashenko's legitimate reelection.

"We expect the situation to normalize as soon as possible through a dialogue with respect for the current Constitution of Belarus and the rule of law," said Lavrov.

"We consider unacceptable any interference in internal affairs, imposition of annoying mediation services contrary to the sovereign will of Minsk and the Belarusian leadership."

"It is of fundamental importance to let the Belarusian people deal with the situation independently."

"We believe, and our contacts with Belarusian friends confirm it, that such a political process can become a useful platform for a national dialogue, help overcome the current situation and ensure normalization of the situation, stabilizing the society."

Lavrov slammed unacceptable statements and actions by Western officials, "demonstrat(ing) not a single doubt" of obeying orders from a higher power in Washington.

What's going on in Belarus "shows an absence of diplomatic skills, elementary diplomatic skills. This is unethical from human point of view as well as diplomatic one."

NATO secretary general/US imperial tool Jens Stoltenberg is one of many examples of what Lavrov explained with remarks like the following:

"The people of Belarus must have the right to decide their own future."

Fact: They exercised their franchise by reelecting Lukashenko to another term in office by a near 62% majority.

Stoltenberg: "All Allies respect the sovereignty, the integrity, the independence of Belarus and NATO remains a defensive alliance."

NATO countries Britain, France, Germany, Canada, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and others partnered with the Trump regime's coup attempt to replace President Lukashenko with pro-Western puppet rule.

NATO is all about offense, not defense, especially since the rape of Yugoslavia and post-9/11 forever wars on multiple countries threatening no one.

Stoltenberg: "There is no NATO build-up in the region."

According to the Pentagon:

US combat troops are conducting "gunnery exercises" in Lithuania from September 3 to October 20.

So-called Exercise Noble Partner military exercises involving troops from the US, UK, France, Georgia, and Poland are scheduled in Georgia from September 7 - 18.

Live-fire exercises are ongoing through September 10 by US and Estonian forces in their country — close to Russia's border.

In Germany from September 2 - 29, so-called Combined Resolve XIV war games are ongoing, involving troops from the US, France, Italy, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and Ukraine." 

So-called Resolute Castle military exercises were conducted in Poland from August 10 - September 3.

Numerous US-led military drills in Western and Eastern Europe are all about rehearsing war on Russia and its regional allies.

Stoltenberg lied about no NATO military build-up in the region, adding:

"(A)ny attempt by the 'regime built in Belarus' (sic) to crack down on the demonstrators in their own country is absolutely wrong, is absolutely unjustified."

He ignored their made-in-the-USA origin to destabilize the country and topple its legitimate government.

He supports what flagrantly breaches the UN Charter and other international law — obeying his imperial master in Washington.

On Tuesday, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei explained the following:

"Long before the presidential election, we were absolutely of the same opinion that any street manifestations, any violent demonstrations, will push our relations backwards by many years," adding: 

"Everyone agreed that it must not be allowed to happen. Unfortunately, things happened. And now our partners call for some peaceful and quiet revolutions."

"We are categorically against any revolutionary shocks, moreover, shocks in streets of our cities." 

"We believe that only calm, evolutionary progress will result in the establishment of peace, tranquility, and stability in the country and the society."

"Russia and Belarus share a common understanding of the ongoing processes" and support efforts to restore calm peacefully.

When the US launches color revolutions or old-fashioned coups, it doesn't quit easily.

Violence, vandalism and chaos it instigated in Hong Kong last year and sporadically in 2020 continued for months.

If this is what US dark forces intend for Belarus, what's gone on since August 9 may be the calm before events similar to Hong Kong unfold ahead.
