Dubious Claim That Alexey Navalny Was Poisoned

Russophobic Western officials and establishment media invent reasons to blame Moscow for things it had nothing to do with.

In March 2018, the UK Theresa May regime falsely accused Russia of poisoning Sergey Skripal and daughter Yulia with a toxic novichok nerve agent, the official narrative changing several times after the initial version.

No evidence to this day was presented as proof of the charge because none existed then or now.

Father and daughter Skripal are alive, well, and held in seclusion by UK authorities to prevent their free and open account of what happened from going public.

Whatever did or didn't happen to them, Russia had no involvement, no evidence suggesting otherwise.

Nor did any evidence link Moscow to former Russian Federal Security Service/KGB official Alexander Litvinenko's death from polonium-210-induced acute radiation syndrome.

Yet a decade after his 2006 death, a UK public inquiry falsely suggested Putin "probably" approved his murder. 

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova slammed the phony politicized accusation, saying it "marred…bilateral relations."

No motive or evidence suggests Russian responsibility for Navalny falling seriously ill onboard a flight to Moscow.

Russian and German doctors performed similar analyses with different conclusions.

On Tuesday, Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said no evidence suggests a reason to conduct a criminal investigation into what happened, adding:

"First, it is necessary to identify the substance, to find out what caused his condition." 

"(T)here should be grounds for an investigation. So far, all we can say is that the patient is in a (medically induced) coma."

"If the substance is established (to be) poisoning, then, of course, this will be a cause for investigation."

"Medics are addressing this matter, first Russian doctors and then German doctors." 

"They are conducting phase one of this investigation, trying to find out what has caused the condition the patient is in now. So far, regrettably, to no avail."

"The fact of low cholinesterase was established by our medics during the first hours at the Omsk hospital and atropine the Germans are talking about and which is now being used was administered during the first hour of the patient's stay in the intensive care unit."

"We simply called and asked the doctor what it means at all. None of us knows. An ordinary man has no idea of cholinesterase. I knew nothing about that until yesterday."

"We do not understand why our German colleagues are in such a hurry, using the word "poisoning.' "

"You know, this version was among the first that our doctors considered, but I repeat once again: the substance has not yet been established."

Cholinesterase inhibitors are used medicinally to treat dementia, Alzheimer's disease and other illnesses.

Russian doctors found no traces of poisons in Navalny's blood or urine. They diagnosed his illness as a metabolic disorder.

He's diabetic and hypoglycemic. Having had tea alone before boarding his flight, he may have experienced insulin shock.

According to healthline.com, it "may occur if someone ignores mild hypoglycemia,

takes too much insulin by mistake, misses a meal completely, or does excessive unusual exercise without changing their carbohydrate intake."

"Insulin shock is a diabetic emergency. If left untreated, it can lead to diabetic coma, brain damage, and even death."

That's why it's important for diabetics to monitor their blood sugar regularly to prevent it from falling too low.

Did Navalny fall seriously ill from too long a period without food?

When insulin shock occurs, the body begins to shut down.

Without justification, screaming establishment media headlines claimed what happened to Navalny was foul play.

Some examples:

The NYT: "Aleksei Navalny, Putin Critic in a Coma, Was Poisoned, German Doctors Say," adding:

"Poison appears to be the culprit. (What happened) appears to be yet another attack signaling Russia's status as an outlaw nation (sic)."

For Russia and other nations threatening no one on the US target list for regime change, the standard employed by the Times and other establishment media is guilt by accusation, no proof needed.

The CIA-connected Washington Post repeated the accusation, saying "Navalny was poisoned."

The Wall Street Journal called Navalny's illness the "latest blow to Russia's struggling opposition."

Navalny has scant political support at home. Most Russians know little about him.

Russian doctors disagree with their German counterparts who believe Navalny was poisoned.

The top Russian toxicologist in Omsk where Navalny was first hospitalized, treated and diagnosed, Alexander Sabayev, said the following:

"When Alexey Navalny was admitted to the in-patient clinic, he was examined for a wide range of narcotics, synthetic substances, psychedelic drugs and medical substances, including cholinesterase inhibitors. The result was negative."

It's highly unlikely that he was poisoned, clearly no reason why Russian authorities would act to harm a figure who's little more than a minor irritant of no consequence. 

Time and again, establishment media accuse sovereign independent nations free from US control of all sorts of things later discovered to be false.
