Trump's Public Remarks: Exercises in Mass Deception

Anyone with insight about how Trump operates knows most everything he says lacks credibility.

Straightaway in office, he abandoned rule of law principles, morality, and ethics altogether, escalating war on humanity at home and abroad, risking nuclear war with Russia, China, and/or Iran, endangering life on earth.

His self-serving notion of making America great again is all about serving wealth, power, and privileged interests exclusively, waging wars of aggression for Wall Street and the nation's military, industrial, security complex, along with staging color revolutions and old-fashioned coup plots to replace legitimate governments with US-controlled puppet regimes.

His remarks make painful listening, a daily drumbeat of misinformation and disinformation rubbish, including via Twitter.

His handling of the COVID-19 crisis is nothing short of utter contempt for the health and welfare of ordinary people his actions show he doesn't give a damn about and never did.

Psychiatrists and psychologists like James Gilligan, Robert Jay Lifton, Bandy Lee, John Gartner, and many others say he exhibits sociopathic, narcissistic, and other abnormal traits. 

It's one thing to have someone in your neighborhood with these and other disturbing traits. It's another entirely for a head of state, notably one with his finger on the nuclear trigger.

As front man for Wall Street, the military, industrial, security complex, Big Oil, Big Pharma, and other corporate predators, his service to them comes at the expense of world peace, stability, and a nation safe and fit to live in.

That's the disturbing reality with him and likeminded figures at the helm of the ship of state. They're indifferent to virtually everything just societies hold dear.

His hot wars in multiple theaters rage with no end of them in prospect. 

The same goes for his wars by other means — intended to inflict maximum pain, suffering, and overall human misery on the populations of targeted countries.

In public remarks on Friday, he laughably said if Iranian officials "want to meet, we'd love to meet, and we'd love to settle the whole thing out (sic)."

"I think they love America (sic). I think the Iranians love America (sic). I think they'd love to be free (sic). They love what we stand for (sic)."

"I put it out very publicly with respect to Iran. I said if they need help with respect to the virus, we have the greatest medical professionals in the world. We'd love to send them over (sic)."

The above remarks are disingenuous posturing, polar opposite his illegal sanctions war, economic war, financial war, and  medical war.

It's combined with the risk of elevating his venom to hot war on Iran that could embroil the Middle East in greater conflict than at any time anywhere since WW II.

His battle against COVID-19 combines trillions of dollars for monied interests with crumbs for ordinary Americans in need.

He largely thew states and local communities under the bus by telling them to handle things on their own and make their own decisions — providing scant leadership, guidance, and large-scale federal aid when most needed. 

Instead of meeting with doctors, nurses, and independent economists unconnected to monied interests and government for sound advice, Trump met Friday with Big Oil bosses at a time when COVID-19 outbreaks are raging out-of-control — one of countless examples of contempt he shows for ordinary people in need.

Progress he cites against combatting the virus is a mirage, along with indifference toward going all-out to address essential needs NOW by providing vital protective gear to medical staff, and help for ordinary Americans left largely on their own when government aid is most needed.

What was passed by Congress and signed into law is woefully inadequate and will take weeks or months to arrive for desperate households needing it now.

Most small businesses are excluded from federal loans to be doled out.

Favored large businesses, notably Wall Street firms, are getting trillions of dollars in virtually free money.

Ordinary Americans are getting lied to and betrayed. If reelected president in November, Trump aims to erode Medicare and Medicaid more than already, along with weakening Social Security benefits for future retirees.

He lied on Friday, saying "I will always protect your Social Security, your Medicare, and your Medicaid" — while plotting to backstab recipients in a second term if gets one.

He falsely claimed ventilators for needy patients and protective gear for medical staff are being produced in greater amounts and are heading to hospitals — while their staff and state officials tell a far different story.

Trump is a demagogic double-talker, not a doer, not a servant of the people, not a head of state worthy of the position.

He falsely said " FEMA has delivered more than 4 million N95 mask respirators.  And it's — think of that: 4 million. Four million…We're building so many ventilators" — while doctors and nurses nationwide complain about not having them and other vital protective gear.

Instead of serving all Americans equitably, especially at a time like now, he betrayed them like countless times before.

Americans are extrajudicially led by self-serving politicians. 

They lie, connive, misinterpret, deceive, and pretty much operate ad libitum in discharging their duties for the special interests they serve and themselves.

Trump is Exhibit A. The people he serves compromise the nation's aristocracy. 

As president and commander-in-chief, he nominally tops the pecking order even though his job as head of state is to serve powerful interests that run the country behind the scenes.

Ordinary people are left out entirely, crumbs thrown them to prevent rebellion.

The general welfare provided for by Congress is for privileged interests alone.

The Constitution is no magnificent piece of architecture. It's used for whatever government does or doesn't do as it sees fit.

The supreme law of the land is whatever Congress and the executive say it is, ordinary people left entirely.

Government of, by, and for the people is meaningless rhetoric.

People don't govern directly or indirectly through representatives. The are governed in whatever ways Congress and the White House choose.

Public needs, rights, and welfare don't matter, just the illusion of an equitable and just system that doesn't exist and never did.

At a time of overwhelming public need in dealing with what appears to be the severest public health and economic crisis in the country's history, governance in Washington is focused largely on bailing out corporate favorites while ordinary people are left largely on their own.
