NYT Russia Bashing with Fake News When Global Unity Needed

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

The Russophobic NYT never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity to bash Russia, especially Vladimir Putin.

He's falsely accused of malign activities because of the country's sovereign independence, opposition to Washington's imperial agenda, its aim for multi-world polarity, and status as the world's dominant military power, its super-weapons exceeding the Pentagon's best, developed at a small fraction of the cost.

Russiagate witch hunt House, Senate and Mueller probes were a colossal hoax, discovering no US election meddling nor improper or illegal Trump/Russia connection – because there was nothing to find.

Yet Russia bashing remains intense, nearly everyone in Washington involved, major media in lockstep with Russophobic hysteria over nothing, notably the self-styled newspaper of record NYT.

It falsely claims Moscow may "use (global) coronavirus (outbreaks) to sow discord among Americans (sic)."

Throughout Russian Federation history for the last 30 years, no evidence suggests the Kremlin aimed to sow discord in the US or anywhere else, especially not after Vladimir Putin succeeded pro-Western puppet Boris Yeltsin over 20 years ago — serving as president and prime minister.

Times disinformation on Russia never rests, Big Lies substituting for all the news that's fit to print  — virtually never the latter about nations on the US target list for regime change and most others.

Managed news misinformation and disinformation are US specialties — by official sources and press agent media.

It's not how Moscow operates, notably Putin's straight talk. Saying what he means and meaning what he says is polar opposite double-talking US officials — Trump Exhibit A, a serial liar with no credibility whatever.

The Times maintains the myth about the long ago debunked Russian US election meddling Big Lie, saying in its latest edition:

"How large is the appetite for escalation among Russian intelligence agencies this time around (sic)?"

Its GRU "was caught red-handed in 2016 meddling in the presidential election" — a bald-faced Big Lie that won't die because of official and major media disinformation, notably from the Times lying machine.

The Times: "American intelligence officials (claim) Russian intelligence operatives… are working to support and amplify white supremacist groups in order to try to incite violence (sic)."

"The goal…is not…to strengthen Trump. It is to weaken the United States (sic)."

Like always before when fantasy claims like the above are made, not a shred of credible evidence is presented to support them because none exists — not earlier or now.

Nothing suggests Russia intends sowing racial discord in the US, West, or anywhere else ahead.

For centuries there's been plenty engineered by US authorities at the federal, state, and local levels, not from foreign sources.

The Times falsely claimed Russia's "disruptive goal…that help(s) Trump weakens America (sic)."

Never explained is why Russia or any other country would want to meddle in the US electoral process that always turns out the same way in a one-party state with two right wings.

Each is in lockstep with the other on major issues. Both take turns governing. Americans get fantasy democracy because the real thing is banned.
