Mini-Super Tuesday March 10

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

Based on the sharp variance between pre-Super Tuesday March 3 polls and results, Biden triumphing over Sanders by election rigging, a repeat is highly likely on Tuesday.

Delegates from six states will be chosen — Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Dakota, and Washington.

At stake are 352 delegates — 17.7% of 3,979 elected ones, 8.8% of a 1,991 majority to be nominated as Dem standard bearer.

Following March 10 primaries, around 47% of elected delegates will have been chosen.

Major primaries in remaining states with 100 or more delegates at stake include New York, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Georgia, and New Jersey.

Polls ahead of March 10 primaries show the following:

Michigan with 125 delegates at stake: Biden leads Sanders in most pre-election polls.

On Sunday, Sanders predicted he'll win the state, saying "I feel very good about the momentum," adding:

In 2016 against Hillary, he won the state despite polls showing he was "down literally 20 points one day to the election," he said.

Polls in Missouri show Biden narrowly ahead. In Washington, Sanders is ahead by about five points.

He's ahead in Idaho. Despite no recent polls in North Dakota, he handily defeated Hillary by nearly 40 points in 2016.

Biden is heavily favored to win Mississippi.

Based on Super Tuesday results, Biden winning nine of 14 states despite pre-election polls showing Sanders heavily favored overall, March 10 results will likely be similar.

Party bosses decide who's safe to hold high office at the federal, state, and most local levels, not voters — why establishment figure Biden appears certain to be Dem standard bearer in November.

Public support isn't good enough without backing from powerful interests — overwhelmingly for Biden over Sanders.

The race to challenge Trump in November appears over except for an official announcement in a nation where democracy exists for the privileged few alone, never for all Americans equitably.

Each electoral cycle, names and faces change, dirty business as usual remaining the same.

One-party rule with two extremist right wings runs things, the rights and welfare of ordinary people increasingly ignored so powerful wealthy interests can benefit.

It's the American way!

A Final Comment

The 2020 race for the White House is shaping up to be a contest between an incumbent who "manifests a serious mental illness that renders him psychologically incapable of competently discharging the duties of President of the United States," according to 60,000 mental health professionals in late 2017 v. a cognitively impaired Dem challenger unable to express thoughts coherently time and again.

Both figures support endless wars of aggression against invented enemies, threatening world peace, risking global war with super-weapons able to kill us all.

The risk of war-mongers Trump or Biden able to squeeze the nuclear trigger should terrify everyone.

Both figures oppose peace, stability, equity, justice, the rule of law, and other democratic values.

Agendas they support threaten everyone everywhere.
