The Russian US Election Meddling Hoax

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

Russia, most other countries, even growing numbers of Americans understand that there's nothing remotely democratic about the US money-controlled system — a one-party state with two right wings, serving privileged interests exclusively.

Why would a foreign government interfere in a system that always turns out the same way when so-called elections are held, dark forces always winning.

Candidates for peace and governance of, by, and for everyone equitably have no chance to be president, hold high congressional positions, serve on the Supreme Court, or be a high-level bureaucrat.

On Saturday, Real Clear Politics published an Epoch Times article, headlined: "Media's Russia Meddling Is Becoming a Joke."

Not a shred of credible evidence backs earlier and current accusations of Russian US election meddling.

Yet according to Pew Research last summer, 49% of respondents polled said Russia interfered in the US 2016 presidential election a lot, 19% saying a little, 28% not at all, another 4% unsure.

Asked if Washington is doing enough to deal with this issue (no evidence suggests exists), 60% of respondents said not enough compared to 28% saying enough is being done.

Gallup polls conducted last year show three-fourths of respondents have an unfavorable view of Russia. Around the same percentage views Vladimir Putin unfavorably.

What does the above prove? The power of propaganda works, notably when misinformation, disinformation, and Big Lies are pounded into the public mind repeatedly, alternative views silenced by major media.

Is Russia at war with another country? Did its ruling authorities threatened the US or other nations?

Are Russian troops on the soil of other countries uninvited? Is the Kremlin involved in illegal activities against any other nations?

The answers to the above questions and related ones are clearly "no."

If the same and similar questions are asked about the US, its NATO allies, and Israel, the answers are polar opposite.

In contrast to Russia seeking peace, cooperative relations with other countries, and multi-world polarity, the US is hellbent for controlling other nations, their resources and populations by whatever it takes to achieve its objectives.

Preemptive wars, color revolutions, old-fashioned coups, economic terrorism, and using jihadists as proxy troops are its favored strategies — polar opposite how Russia operates.

With months to go before November US presidential, congressional, and state elections, the Big Lie about Russian US election meddling surfaced again.

Like throughout the 2016 presidential campaign, not a shred of evidence backs accusations because none exists.

They're baseless to demonize a nation for its sovereign independence, its rising stature on the world stage, support for peace, sovereign rights of other nations, and the rule of law — notions the US and its imperial partners abhor, tolerating them nowhere.

Trump is dead wrong on most everything. Even broken clocks are right twice daily.

He's right about establishment media promoted fake accusations of Russian meddling to help his 2016 election and reelection attempt this November.

There's nary a criticism of his naked aggression by the NYT, nor his one-sided support for Israel, his favoring privileged interests over the public welfare, and other actions causing enormous harm to countless millions of people at home and abroad.

Yet the Times mocked his dismissal of Russian US election meddling — what didn't exist earlier and doesn't now.

A so-called intelligence community briefing of House Intelligence Committee members claiming Russian meddling in the 2020 presidential campaign presented no evidence backing the accusation — once again because none exists.

No Russian secret agents were exposed, no Russian pro-Trump social media blitzkrieg, no Russian English-language media promoting DJT — nothing.

Moscow is neutral when it comes to US and other foreign elections, believing voters abroad have sole say on how their nations should be governed and by whom — even in the US and West where democracy is illusory, not real.

Elections are farcical when held, proved time and again by empowering anti-peace, pro-war, pro-business interests at the expense of ordinary people, especially the most disadvantaged.

The neocon/CIA-connected Washington Post mocked Trump's dismissal of Russian meddling like the Times.

Falsely claiming US intelligence officials are "apolitical fact-finders who follow the rule of 'speak truth to power' " mocked reality about how the CIA, NSA, FBI, and other US intelligence agencies operate — as a national and international Gestapo against peace, equity, justice and the rule of law domestically and abroad.

In mid-February, it was learned that the CIA secretly spies on government communications worldwide through the Swiss-based Crypto AG security company owned and operated by Langley in cahoots with German intelligence.

Putin earlier debunked the phony claim that the Kremlin meddled in the 2016 presidential election to help Trump defeat Hillary. No evidence disputes him.

Russia's Foreign Ministry made similar remarks about the 2020 campaign, including nonsense about the Kremlin aiding Bernie Sanders over other Dem aspirants.

It's a long time from now to November. They'll be lots more phony accusations ahead about Russian US election meddling.

Whenever they're made by whatever source, if no credible evidence backs them, they're groundless.

Nothing exists that suggests Russia interferes in US or other foreign elections anywhere.

Overwhelming evidence proves US election interference time and again throughout the post-WW II period worldwide.

On the one hand, establishment media report fake news about Russia. In contrast, they systematically conceal US high crimes against other nations, reporting nothing.
