Reinvented Syrian History

Major media reports about endless war in Syria read like they're straight from the Pentagon/CIA playbook.

They falsely blame Syria for US aggression on the country, aided by its imperial partners and jihadist proxies.

The latest NYT report falsely blamed Damascus for Turkish aggression, its propaganda piece saying the following:

"Syrian government attacks on Turkish positions in northwest Syria are driving Turkey deeper into the country's civil war, prompting it to send reinforcements to the region and press for a Turkish-controlled military zone there."

Fact: Syria is Obama's war, escalated by Trump — NATO, Israel, the Saudis, and Turkey partnering with US aggression.

Fact: Syrian military operations are all about self-defense against foreign invaders and their jihadist proxies.

Fact: There's nothing remotely "civil" about US aggression.

Fact: Turkey is a hostile invader, occupying Syrian territory illegally, Erdogan wanting it annexed.

Fact: Instead of opposing ISIS, al-Nusra, and likeminded terrorists, he actively supports this scourge. The same goes for the US, NATO, Israel and the Saudis.

The Times: "Syrian troops killed eight Turkish soldiers and a civilian contractor last week and five more soldiers on Monday. Backed by Russian bombers, Syrian forces have encircled several Turkish observation posts in the northwestern province of Idlib — posts established by agreements aimed at reducing violence."

Fact: Killed and wounded Turkish soldiers were operating alongside jihadists who were shelling Syrian soldiers and civilians.

Fact: Turkish observation posts in Idlib, Syria have no legal validity. They're all about pursuing violence, not reducing it, along with controlling cross-border territory Erdogan wants annexed.

What the Times called "opposition forces" and "rebels" are cutthroat killer terrorists, supported by the US and Turkey in Idlib.

Ankara's so-called "safe zone" along the Syrian border includes territory Erdogan wants illegally annexed.

Syrian forces are defending their homeland against US/NATO/Israeli aggression and terrorists their ruling regimes support.

Like other establishment media, the Times supports US wars of aggression, blaming targeted states for US and allied war crimes committed against him.

Qatar-based Al Jazeera reports on Syria are as dismal as what the Times and other US media feature — all propaganda all time, hard truths suppressed, managed news misinformation and disinformation replacing them.

On Thursday, Al Jazeera reinvented Syria's battle to liberate Idlib "in 400 words," saying:

Government forces "launched a campaign against the opposition-held areas in the country's northwest" — failing to explain so-called "opposition areas" are controlled by US/Turkish supported jihadists, conducting daily attacks on Syrian troops and civilians.

Saying "Russia and Iran-backed forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who is pushing to regain control of the whole country" ignored that Syria belongs to Syrians — not US, NATO, Turkish invaders, not to jihadists imported from scores of countries to serve as proxy troops.

Al Jazeera: "In 2018, the advance of government forces on Idlib was paused when Turkey and Russia agreed to create a demilitarized zone in the province from which some opposition groups would withdraw."

Fact: No withdrawal occurred.

Fact: US/Turkish supported jihadists use the so-called demilitarized zone to launch dozens of daily attacks on Syrian forces and civilians, on Russia's Khmeimim airbase as well.

Fact: The only solution is eliminating jihadists by brute force. They refuse to lay down their arms and cease daily attacks — egged on to continue them by the Trump and Erdogan regimes, supplying them with heavy weapons and other material support.

Al Jazeera: "(C)easefires…agreed to (earlier) collapsed (when) forces loyal to Damascus launched…new aerial and ground campaign(s)."

Fact: As usual, Al Jazeera has things backwards. When declared, Russian and Syrian forced observed ceasefires, breached by US/Turkish supported jihadists straightaway every time.

Fact: Syrian forces retaliated in self-defense, supported by Russian airpower, their legal right under international law.

Fact: The US and its imperial partners bear full responsibility for years of endless wars, hundreds of thousands of casualties, and millions of Syrians displaced internally and abroad.

The NYT, Al Jazeera, the BBC, and other establishment media consistently suppress hard truths about the Syria war — featuring state-approved propaganda reports exclusively, all rubbish all the time.
