Hostile to Peace and Stability Arab Leaders Call for Confronting Nonbelligerent Iran

Overtly in cahoots with US-dominated NATO and covertly with Israel, belligerent Arab leaders called for confronting Iran at the 40th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit.

Ignored by their hardline ruling regimes is that the Islamic Republic is the region's leading peace and stability proponent.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the summit in Riyadh. Member states include Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.

Salman heads a regime notorious for public beheadings and whippings, along with other horrific human rights abuses and war crimes abroad.

The Saudis and other fascist Arab states support US imperial wars, economic terrorism, ISIS and likeminded jihadist foot soldiers.

Salman called for Arab unity against nonbelligerent Iran, saying:

"Our region today is passing through circumstances and challenges that require concerted efforts to confront them as (Iran) continues its aggressive actions (sic) that threaten security and stability (sic)," adding:

"The Gulf region must unite in the face of Iran's aggression (sic) and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council must secure themselves in the face of (nonexistent) ballistic missile attacks (sic)."

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan falsely called Iran "a threat to all," adding: "We all understand it is necessary to deal with the threat using the right methods (sic)."

The only foreign threats hardline Arab regimes face are invented. No real ones exist, notably not from Iran — seeking regional peace, stability, and mutual cooperation among all countries, opposed to hostile actions against any.

A final statement called for unity against foreign regional threats that don't exist. Claiming Iran's legitimate nuclear and missile programs threaten the region was a bald-faced Big Lie.

In response to hostile unfounded statements about Iran at the GCC summit, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said the following on Wednesday:

"Many of the fake claims mentioned in PGCC statement are not even worth answering," adding: 

"Such comments will lead to nothing but the continuation of current destructive (regional) trends and will push the region into an unknown future."

"The repetition of these unfounded claims is the result of the political pressure exerted by few members of the council that have made every effort in the past decades to hamper multilateral cooperation."

"Those are the countries that not only have afflicted sever losses to their neighbors, but they also provided the grounds for the alien states to increase their interference in the region."

Victim of US/Israeli state terror Iran is falsely blamed for regional incidents it had nothing to do with, no credible evidence proving otherwise.

Separately, the Trump regime imposed new illegal sanctions on Iran, targeting Mahan Air and the country's shipping industry.

Baseless allegations were cited, falsely claiming Iran supports terrorists in Yemen. Treasury Secretary Mnuchin lied, saying the following:

Tehran "uses its aviation and shipping industries to supply its regional terrorist and militant groups with weapons, directly contributing to the devastating humanitarian crises in Syria and Yemen." 

Years of US aggression, blockade, illegal sanctions, and Pentagon-orchestrated Saudi terror-bombing since 2015 are what high crimes of state terrorism against the country and it long-suffering people are all about.

The same goes for US aggression in Syria and other war theaters, part of bipartisan support in Washington for permanent wars on humanity.

A Final Comment

Free at last back home in Iran after over a year as a US political prisoner, internationally recognized stem cell scientist Masoud Soleimani commented on his ordeal, saying:

So-called US "justice" only exists in Hollywood films. He was imprisoned in the US on false charges, after arriving to head a Mayo Clinic research program, held "in a cell with another person (next to) murders and drug traffickers," he explained, adding:

Prison official falsely told other captives that he was a "terrorist and the inmates were scared to approach me."

Following his release en route to Switzerland to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif before heading home, he was uncomfortably "handcuffed and shackled" en route, he explained.

During his political imprisonment, "three of (his) patients had lost their lives…the American government…responsible for" their deaths.

His ordeal is one of countless examples of US ruthlessness, a democracy in name only, its hegemonic rage humanity's greatest threat.
