US Permanent War Agenda — Killing Nations, Plundering Their Resources

Washington's imperial agenda is all about seeking dominance over other nations, their resources and populations — brute force its favored strategy, smashing sovereign states to own them, mass slaughter, destruction and human misery considered small prices to pay.

The US targets all sovereign independent states it doesn't control for regime change, Syria one of many in the eye of its storm.

War begun in March 2011 still rages in parts of the country, northern and southern areas illegally occupied by Pentagon forces, CIA operatives, and their jihadist foot soldiers.

The US came to all nations it attacked to stay — directly and/or by installed puppet rule.

On Saturday, Sergey Lavrov and Pompeo spoke by phone, Russia's Foreign Ministry saying:

They "discussed the situation in Syria. The Russian side placed an emphasis on the need to refrain from any steps undermining that country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Apart from that, certain bilateral issues were touched upon."

Obama's war escalated by Trump is all about killing a nation, stealing its resources, and installing puppet rule. The US came to Syria to stay, permanent direct or indirect occupation planned.

Pompeo earlier said there's no timeline for withdrawing US forces, adding: "We don't talk about timelines."

Turkey's Erdogan cut a deal with the US to carve up Syrian territory. He wants as much in its north as he can seize and keep, especially oil-producing areas he covets.

US aims are similar. According to Russia's Defense Ministry on Saturday, satellite images show large-scale smuggling of stolen Syrian oil moving cross-border "under the strong protection of the US."

Scores of tanker trucks, believed  loaded with crude, were seen near a Syrian oil facility east of Deir Ezzor and Mayadin.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov said oil smuggling operations in Syria are protected by "US troops and the personnel of the US private military companies," adding:

"Whenever a convoy gets attacked, the US special forces and military jets are being called in to defend it."

"What Washington is doing right now is seizing and holding the oilfields in eastern Syria under its armed control, which is tantamount to international state-sponsored banditry."

Stolen Syrian oil revenues are laundered through "American private military contractors and the US security agencies."

"To secure such a continuous financial flow free from control and taxes, the top officials at the Pentagon and (CIA) (are) guard(ing) and protect(ing) oil wells in Syria from the imaginary 'hidden cells' of Daesh (ISIS) indefinitely" — the scourge created, supported and controlled by the US.

So far, ceasefire declared last week by Turkey is more mirage than real. Clashes continue in parts of northern Syria.

On Saturday, Southfront reported that attack helicopters "from Turkey attacked several positions in the outskirts of the town of Barisha in the northern Idlib countryside," adding:

"The origin of the helicopters has not been determined yet. However, most sources are claiming that they were US-led coalition helicopters."

Clashes between Kurdish YPG fighters and Turkish troops continue, Syrian forces also attacked.

On Sunday, AMN News reported what it called a "powerful air attack mysteriously launched on northern Idlib" province, adding:

Some reports said it was conducted by the Pentagon. Other "reports claim it may have been Turkish attack choppers that carried out the attack on a YPG base in the Afrin region; however, nothing is confirmed at this time."

Separately, Turkish-backed jihadists attacked Syrian forces in Ras Al-Ayn on Saturday, casualties reported.

According to AMN News, "Turkish-backed (proxies) launched repeated attacks against both the Syrian Arab Army and" Kurdish YPG fighters — despite Erdogan's announced ceasefire, adding:

Russia's Defense Ministry "denies any hostilities in the area" — reported by sources on the ground.

A Final Comment

Trump's "something very big just happened" announcement reportedly coming Sunday may be that US special forces conducted an operation against ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, according to Newsweek magazine.

Reports of his elimination through the years proved greatly exaggerated. Is what Trump reportedly will announce similar to the Obama's false narrative about killing Osama bin Laden — in his case having died of natural causes in December 2001, reported at the time by the NYT, BBC, Fox News and other Western media.

Why would the US want to kill the leader of the ISIS terrorist group it supports? If true, has he lost his usefulness? Was a new leader chosen to head the group, used as US proxy foot soldiers?

Throughout the war, Baghdadi could have been eliminated any time Washington wished. Why now if Trump's announcement apparently coming Sunday morning is true?

It's best to be skeptical about whatever he says any time on any issues.
