NYT Yellow Journalism Over News Fit to Print

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

Time and again, the NYT proves my earlier characterization correct, calling the broadsheet a lying machine, a propaganda machine, an anti-truth telling operation, a virtual state-sponsored ministry of deception, masquerading as real news, information and opinion.

In the run-up to the 2016 presidential election and Trump's triumph over media darling Hillary, the Times waged war on him, largely for the wrong reasons, ignoring the most important right ones.

Since Ukrainegate erupted, orchestrated by anti-Trump undemocratic Dem and US intelligence community dark forces, daily Times' editions have featured a virtual blitzkrieg of disinformation venom, aimed at weakening and delegitimizing him.

Calling him a "self-impeaching president," citing the wrong reasons, ignoring the right ones, the Times is leading the media assault for the second time since he took office.

First came the failed Russiagate scam, now its Act II Ukrainegate, both schemes wanting him delegitimized and weakened ahead of November 2020 elections.

The Times and likeminded media are operating in cahoots with undemocratic Dems and intelligence community dark forces.

A previous article said Ukrainegate should be called Adam Schiffgate or Schiff/Bidengate.

Former federal prosecutor/House Intelligence Committee chairman Schiff notably is in the forefront of demonizing Trump for the wrong reasons.

He knew about the so-called "whistleblower" complaint against DJT weeks in advance and said nothing — based on hearsay, not direct knowledge of the Trump/Ukrainian president Zelensky's phone conversation in question.

I asked if he was he was directly involved in preparing it. In its latest edition, the Times turned truth on its head, calling him "the right man for the moment," adding:

He "seems to be coming off as the opposite of a slick political operator bent on betraying the country."

Paul Craig Roberts asked why hasn't he been "arrested." Townhall.com senior editor Matt Vespa reported that he "appears to be a very well funded hatchet man for Ukraine arms dealer Igor Pasternak."

The Duran editor-in-chief Alexander Mercouris and Alex Christoforou accused Schiff of "deep ties" to the Ukrainian arms merchant of death and destruction.

Trump's conversation in question with Ukrainian president Zelensky didn't remotely rise to the level of an impeachable offense.

Biden's public boast about getting Zelensky's predecessor to sack the country's Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin from office over an investigation of his son Hunter's dubious dealings as a Ukrainian Burisma Holdings board member alone discredits him as a legitimate candidate for any public office — a blackmail threat that worked.

Biden's direct involvement in the Obama regime's February 2014 coup in Ukraine, replacing democratic governance with pro-Western fascist tyranny is further damning evidence against him.

Most of all, his disturbing record as US senator and vice president since 1973 should automatically disqualify him.

Along with countless others from both right wings of the one-party state, he clearly belongs in prison, not high office.

The same goes for Schiff, a despicable figure, symbolic of dirty politics at its worst.

Yet the Times shamefully fawned all over him, relishing him being in the anti-Trump "driver's seat," falsely claiming he's "play(ing) it by the book…quarterback(ing)" the impeachment inquiry — a scam by any other name left unexplained.

Schiff's predecessor as House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes helped expose the Russiagate witch hunt scam. The Times falsely called his investigation "specious."

A comparable Senate probe and Mueller also found no improper or illegal Trump team connection to Russia, no obstruction of justice.

Schiff's venality goes way beyond being "shifty," as Trump characterized him. The Times falsely called him "solid, reasonable and mild-mannered…not a political operator clawing his way to ever-greater heights of power," adding:

He "defen(ds) his view that the Mueller report did not absolve the president of wrongdoing" — ignoring that the witch-hunt probe failed to lay a glove on him, despite spending countless millions of dollars over many months with dozens of staff members trying.

Undemocratic Dems, intelligence community dark forces, and the Times-led establishment press agent chorus want Trump made damaged goods unreelectable against a Dem challenger.

That's what the politicized impeachment inquiry is all about, not removing him from office.

It requires a highly unlikely GOP-controlled two-thirds Senate super-majority — other than perhaps getting Trump to resign like Nixon was railroaded from office for the wrong reasons.
