US/Israeli Terror-Bombing: High Crimes Gone Unpunished

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

US-led terror-bombing in Syria and elsewhere is a near-daily affair - naked aggression in multiple theaters, responsible for countless thousands of civilian casualties and vast destruction.

The US-led terror-bombing of Mosul, Iraq and Raqqa, Syria were especially horrendous - both cities raped and destroyed, not liberated as falsely claimed.

The stench of rotting corpses still pervades both cities, turned to open-air graveyard rubble with little or no reconstruction in prospect, no Obama/Trump regimes' concern for two of history's great crimes - what imperialism is all about, uncaring of the human cost.

UN humanitarian official Jan Egeland earlier called Raqqa the "worst place on earth." The same was true about Mosul throughout months of US-led naked aggression - on the phony pretext of combating ISIS in both cities, a scourge Washington supports.

The Netanyahu regime terror-bombs Gaza and Syria at its discretion, accountability never forthcoming, the world community dismissive of its high crimes, an incentive to keep committing them with impunity.

Weekend IDF terror-bombing of multiple Gazan targets was the most serious flareup since Israeli summer 2014 naked aggression on the Strip.

Netanyahu indicated more coming if Hamas didn't get "the message. If not now, they will get it later," he added, suggesting more aggression ahead.

"It doesn't end with one punch," he roared. "We need to be prepared for a protracted campaign," he added, warning of much more to come.

A reported ceasefire doesn't exist. On Sunday, the Netanyahu regime's security cabinet authorized the IDF to keep terror-bombing Gaza as long as Hamas and Islamic Jihad retaliate against earlier Israeli strikes - a vicious circle risking another full-scale war.

Separately on Sunday, Israeli warplanes terror-bombed Syrian army positions in southeastern Aleppo - supporting ISIS and other terrorist fighters in the area.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported the following:

"The Israeli enemy on Sunday evening launched a missile attack on one of the Syrian Army military positions north of al-Nairab Airport, causing only material damage," citing a military source, SANA adding:

"…Israeli aggression comes in framework of the repeated desperate attempts to support terrorist groups in Daraa and Quneitra which are collapsing under the strikes of the Syrian Arab Army which is continuing its military operations against terrorists' positions."

AMN News reported the incident as follows, saying:

"The Israeli Air Force bombed an airport in southern Aleppo last night, causing material damage to the military installation located near the provincial capital."

Al-Nayrab airport in southern Aleppo was struck, the casualty count so far not reported. According to Sputnik News, eight Israeli missiles were fired at the airport, four intercepted and destroyed, the others striking near Syria's military positions.

Israeli warplanes terror-bombed Syria's T-4 airbase in Homs governorate earlier this month.

Like Washington under Obama and Trump, the Netanyahu regime wants endless war and regime change in Syria, not peace and stability returned to the country.

Expect further incidents of Israeli aggression to come - against Gaza and Syria.
