Our monthly meeting of the Arizona Breakfast Club will take place this coming Saturday, July 7th, 2018.

Food will be ready at 8:30 AM, meeting begins at 9:00 AM and we will go to about 11:00 AM.

The cost is $5.00 for the meeting. Breakfast can be ordered off the menu (please note - THERE WILL NOT BE A BUFFET)

Who is Ken Bennett?

Devoted family man

Ken lives his family values.

Ken has been married for over 36 years to Jeanne Tenney Bennett. Together, they have three grown children, and four grandchildren. Ken is an Eagle Scout and former Scoutmaster.

Arizona native

Ken was born in Tucson, grew up in Prescott and graduated from college at Arizona State University in Tempe.

Other than serving a couple of years as a missionary in Southern Japan, he has lived his entire life in the Grand Canyon State. He knows Arizona, its issues, and its people.
 

Small-businessman

Job creator with a record of leadership.
Ken knows what it means to run a business and grow a young company. He serves as the chairman of the board of directors for a pair of Arizona companies developing alternative energy sources and energy-efficient building technologies: Energy Tech America and Global Building Systems, Inc.

Ken also is a member of the board of directors for Cancer Treatment Centers of America (Western Regional Medical Center, in Surprise) and Scottsdale-based EMTA Corporation. Ken spent more than two decades as CEO of Bennett Oil Company, a family fuel-distribution business, and remains a member of its board of directors.
 

Public servant

30+ years invested in the people of Arizona.
Ken has spent half his life working for Arizona. His extensive record of public service includes: Prescott City Council; Prescott Chamber of Commerce; Arizona State Board of Education; Arizona Charter Schools Board; Arizona Historical Advisory Commission; State Senate; Secretary of State.

The Arizona Breakfast Club

The Arizona Breakfast Club first came together, in 1969, founded by Harry Everingham. Harry had been a conservative activist since World War II, publishing the American Patriot and leading We The People, a national organization.

Harry came to Arizona from Chicago, and had been discussing the issues of the 1968 election campaign with friends over coffee. The discussions were good, and a decision was made to create a club for political discourse. The Arizona Breakfast Club opened its first public meeting in January of 1970 to fight for freedom in a patriotic forum where our faith in God, our constitutional republic, and productive economy would be championed. The club was to rally conservatives and to educate people about the state of the nation and their American Heritage of liberty.

Senator Barry Goldwater, Arizona's Statesman, and often one of our guests at the podium, best outlined our desires for good government when he said: "I have little interest for streamlining government or making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the constitution, or that have failed in their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is 'needed' before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents' interests, I shall reply that I was informed that their main interest is liberty and in that cause I am doing the very best I can."
