Israel Assassinates Palestinian Suspect

Israel denies Palestinians due process and judicial fairness, flagrantly violating international law.

On February 5, rabbi/settler Itamar Ben Gal was stabbed to death by an unknown attacker, escaping from the scene near Ariel in the West Bank.

Arab Israeli citizen Abed al-Karim Adel Assi was suspected of the killing. He'll likely be assassinated when found - how Israel eliminated Ahmed Nasser Jarrar on Tuesday during a large-scale military operation in al-Yamoun near Jenin in the West Bank.

He was suspected of killing Rabbi Raziel Shevach in early January, the incident causing an uproar. He was lethally shot multiple times by unknown assailant(s) while driving near Nablus.

A large-scale military manhunt was ordered to find the attacker(s). Palestinians gunned down by Israeli soldiers or police are blamed for criminality committed against them.

Netanyahu called Shevah's assailant "a despicable terrorist." The double standard needs no elaboration.

Zionist zealot US ambassador to Israel David Friedman tweeted: "An Israeli father of six was killed last night in cold blood by Palestinian terrorists…Look no further to why there is no peace."

In a large-scale pre-dawn Tuesday military operation, Israeli soldiers assassinated Palestinian Ahmad Nasser, blamed for Shevah's killing - no due process afforded him, no habeas rights, no judicial fairness.

In just societies, suspects are innocent unless found guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt - a standard requiring credible evidence to convict, especially in capital cases.

When in doubt about Palestinian suspects, Israel assassinates them in cold blood. During a raid searching for Jarrar last month, Israeli forces lethally shot his cousin Ahmad Ismail Jarrar near the family home in Jenin's Wadi Bruqin neighborhood.

On Saturday, Israeli forces assassinated 19-year-old Ahmed Samir Abu Obeid during another Wadi Bruqin raid.

US killer cops operate the same way in Black and Latino neighborhoods.

During the overnight Tuesday raid, ending in Jarrar's assassination, Palestinian Red Crescent official Mahmoud al-Saadi said seven Palestinians suffered severe toxic tear-gas inhalation effects during the operation - collateral damage Israeli media ignore, along with failing to condemn Israeli commando raid injustice.

Jarrar was the 10th Palestinian assassinated by Israel this year so far, many more likely before year end.

Palestinian lives and welfare don't matter in the Occupied Territories - like Black lives and welfare don't matter in America.
