Deputy FBI Director Steps Down

On Monday, NBC News broke the story, saying Andrew McCabe resigned his post effective immediately.

NBC cited "multiple (unnamed) sources," saying he'll remain on the FBI payroll until he is eligible to retire with full benefits in mid-March."

A four-page classified memo described as explosive and shocking contains alleged extensive Russiagate FISA abuses.

McCabe, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, along with former FBI Director James Comey were named as culpable parties.

The memo may be released in days. GOP leaders and Trump called for it, perhaps why McCabe is stepping down now. He announced his intention last month, intending to retire in March.

He's under investigation by the Justice Department and Senate Judiciary Committee over his involvement in investigating Hillary's use of her private email server for State Department business - along with "sexual discrimination and improper political activity," according to investigative journalist Sara Carter.

He's accused of receiving $500,000 from Hillary for his wife's Virginia State Senatorial campaign.

US Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Charles Grassley described McCabe as "a man whose wife ran (unsuccessfully) for Virginia state Senate (in 2015) and accepted almost a million dollars from Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe's political machine."

The governor is a longtime friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton. McCabe's involvement in investigating her email issues was a clear conflict of interest.

The FBI whitewashed it, FBI director James Comey calling her criminality "extreme carelessness," exonerating her, instead of recommending prosecution for wrongdoing.

Comey obstructed justice. Was McCabe directly involved? Information on the bureau's website said "internal documents…support what the bureau has asserted previously: that McCabe had no conflicts when he assumed oversight of the Clinton investigation," adding: 

"His role began in February 2016, following his appointment as deputy director and three months after his wife, Jill McCabe, lost her bid for a state Senate seat." 

Exonerating Hillary's criminality showed ordinary Americans are held to one standard, privileged ones another. Justice isn't blind. It's hugely corrupted.

Trump accused McCabe of mishandling the FBI investigation of Hillary, saying he had reason to want her exonerated.

Carter cited unnamed current and former FBI officials, saying more agency resignations are coming following McCabe's, adding:

"There are people lining up in the bureau to go after McCabe. There will be a clean up at the bureau of his cronies." Carter believes Trump will approve releasing the memo alleging FISA abuses.

"(S)everal members of the (House Intelligence) committee told this reporter that the information contained in the memo lists extensive FISA abuse that occurred before and after the 2016 presidential election cycle," Carter reported.

Senior FBI official David Bowdich is expected to replace McCabe.
