KNOX COUNTY MAYORAL CANDIDATE GLENN JACOBS' CAMPAIGN FIRST

IN TENNESSEE HISTORY TO ACCEPT CONTRIBUTIONS WITH BITCOIN

Bitcoin Contributions Can be Made Through Campaign's Website

The Virtual Currency Will Be Accepted at Campaign Events

KNOXVILLE, TENN. – September 20, 2017 – Knox County Mayoral Candidate Glenn Jacobs' campaign is the first in Tennessee history to accept contributions through the peer-to-peer payment system, Bitcoin. The virtual, bank-free Bitcoin offers much lower processing fees than other contribution methods such as credit card or Paypal.

"As a campaign, we're always looking for ways to be at the forefront of technology and being accessible to our constituents," said Jacobs. "This is why we are excited to be the first campaign in the state of Tennessee to accept Bitcoin as campaign contributions."

In addition to making a Bitcoin contribution through the campaign's website, jacobsformayor.com, Bitcoin will also be accepted at campaign events through Bitcoin Wallet.
